  1. I'm clearly not up on my flags, what do those colours mean/represent? - I know the rainbow flag is for bummers, but what do purple, blue and dark blue represent? - I need to know, so that I can decide if I need to be offended or not
  2. I've not got much time for Anderson, but do we think he's as clever as he thinks he is? - He is, I'll admit, absolutely perfect for Reform UK, and I'll bet they couldn't believe there luck when he joined them (which he purposely engineered of course) - once he loses his seat in the GE, and he will, I wonder if, other than appearing on GB News, if we'll hear from him again, or if he'll just fade into the background.
  3. I'm not massively fussed either way if people in the Labour party like Thatcher or not - it's not really relevant, Thatcher is almost out of living memory these days, so who really cares what she did or didn't do. Anyway, if the Labour Party are going to become more Central/Conservative, then that's a good thing surely 😉
  4. Only absolute swivel eyed lunatics did, because they think he's a character (he's not) and a good old fashioned English eccentric (he's not) and Churchillian (he's not)
  5. A lot of people claim they want Mordaunt to lead the Conservative party, fucking hell, she'd be just as bad as Truss. No way does she have what it takes to lead a major political party.
  6. One of the finest statements ever made on here by George, he was great
  7. It was still illegal to be a bummer until about 1970 want it, so I presume some folk still gave a shit. I agree, in general about communities though. I guess I'm lucky where I live, as its a small village, and everybody seems to know everybody else, and they're is a fair bit of community spirit. Just a few miles away in some of the larger towns though it's very different
  8. Stevenage, fucking hell no.......unless you're in the "old town" and that's OK
  9. 😁 Great crisps them, sadly the factory is up in Hull (i think)
  10. I've just been speaking to somebody who is a ST at Stevenage (he's also an ST at Arsenal....) - anyway, he recommended "Our Mutual Friend".........well, I say recommended, he actually said "You're better going to the Mutual Friend, it's quite near the ground, the beer is shit but it's cheap and the place is usually full of dicks getting pissed on Jaegerbombs" 😁
  11. We pay our shiner by bank transfer, he doesn't take any cash or card payments
  12. For those of you who don't know Stevenage (and it's no surprise if you don't) - it's a really, really, really shit place for drinking, certainly the new town bit of it is. There is a distinct lack of pubs anywhere near the ground, in fact I can't think of one that's within a mile of the ground, and none between the train station and the ground (which is about a 1.5 mile walk) There are quite a few decent pubs (and a Spoons) in the Old Town, which is about 0.5 mile walk or a couple of quid in a taxi (in the wrong direction, of course ) - and I'd head there, and will be doing, and then get an Uber to the ground afterwards, that'll cost about a fiver. I've heard there is a bar at the ground, but I've never been to it, and don't know if it allows away fans I'd also possibly consider, depending which way you're coming on the train, drinking on one of the other towns......(if coming down the Peterborough line, then maybe get off at Biggleswade or Letchworth, and there are pubs very close to the station - and then either hop back on the train, or get a taxi (£20 from Biggleswade and £12/£15 from Letchworth) - if coming in by Car/Minibus, then definitely drink in Biggleswade, Hitchin, Baldock or Letchworth first Edit: to add, at the Train station, there is a "leisure park" that has all the usual chains that you can probably get an overpriced drink in (Wagamamas, Hollywood Bowl etc) Also, a pub called "The Old Post Office" is right in the town centre, only a short stroll from the station, which is OK as well, as far as mass chain pubs go
  13. oh, there's absolutely no relevance whatsoever
  14. I might be misremembering, but I think last time I went to Derby, we played with no strikers and it was an absolutely awful game, and we drew 0:0 - I was there with @tomskiand he said we're never to speak of that game ever again, as it was so bad
  15. After 38 games last season we had 64points, I think
  16. Make sure that you log a complaint
  17. Aye, presenting "Have I got News for You" and other satirical/comedy TV stuff, I think he'd have been seen as a lovable bumbling posh buffoon. How the fuckery he ever got the top gig is amazing. The fact some in his party would still have him back is actually unbelievable
  18. Gammons like him because.... He tells it like it is, and says what the silent majority are thinking .........and he'll 100% lose his seat in the GE, thankfully
  19. It's the sort of thing that weirdo Craig would wank himself silly about, and then put some nobby poll up asking opinions......and then take down when the general opinions don't agree with his own
  20. Who is he referring to, when he says "these people" is it foreign types?
  21. Start at one of the northern most Scotcher Islands, and then travel to Australia over the North pole
  22. are there not 5 Scandinavian countries? Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland & Denmark
  23. to be fair, that's the one that usually get's offered up (as opposed to it being Bolton) I also like the fact that Alaska is both the Westernmost and Easternmost state in the US
