  1. Methinks that would be picked up by any bookie worth his salt. Bearing in mind that he has been fined two weeks wages (approx ??60K-??70K), that means he would want to be winning around ??90K for it to be worth his while (as he will also miss out on appearance money plus possible goal and win bonuses) If any bookies had shelled out anything more than a few grand on that, then people would know about it.
  2. We will see! I think he may turn out to be bit of a Dean Holdsworth type signing as far as goals go
  3. Another bonus point for anyone who can name the kids in pogle's wood one was called Pippin I believe
  4. I recently rang up to get my NTL cancelled (Phone, TV and broadband) - I told them I was moving to Sky for the interactive etc. The bird on t'other end of the phone said that they would be getting the full interactive (similair to SKY digital) in June. She also said that if I agreed to stay with them, she would discount my bill by ??25 per month for a period of 12 months!! having said that, if there is no interactive available by June, I'll be cancelling and moving to SKY I also got a flyer through the door the other day that said the 300K broadband line (??13.99 p/m) will soon be upgraded to a 2Meg line for the same money, which isn't too bad. On the whole though, if I didn't already have NTL, I would plump for a full SKY package.............although I am intreguid by this new fangled gas powered phone that Smiley has mentioned

  8. 'twas an urban myth I believe it to be a myth too. BUT why has it not been on TV for 20years? Undies, I think because it was utter cack. The Captain Pugwash cartoon, which originally ran on the BBC between 1958 and 1967, is widely believed to have featured characters with risqu?? maritime names such as Master Bates, Seaman Staines, and Roger the Cabin Boy. In fact, the crew of the famous Black Pig ship included sailors with no such names: present on board were Master Mate, Tom the Cabin Boy, and Pirates Barnabas and Willy. (No character with the designation of 'Seaman' appeared in the show.)
