Is there much demand for oceanographers these days?
Sometimes there's demand and sometimes there isn't......the demand seems to come in waves

An other quite testing issue today was having to sit eating my dinner in a cafe whilst a devil child went completely beserk and basically made it his business to ruin mine and everyone else in there life for that short spell.
He was pretty much smashing the place up whilst his parent sympathised with him saying 'the doctors won't give him anything for this' and 'poor thing,it's not his fault'!!
He needed a big fuck off belt round the chops and dragged the hell out of there.
But what can you say??
Was there not a flight of stairs handy?
I can imagine if there was......"Excuse me young parent, are you having a spot of bother with your spawn" - "Why yes The Gonzo, I am, do you know how to sort it out?" - "Oh yes, I'll sort it right out, pass him over here...."
-
Will Harvey not throw a wobbler?
He certainly won't have seen it coming
-
Splendid, just got home and BT channels and ESPN are already broadcasting. .....there's fuck all worth watching on them, but they are on none the less
-
excellent, and it looks like Daisy is wearing one of those pink velour tracksuits that NB likes to sport on occasion
-
If NB and LW got it on, do you think they would have proper sized kids?
-
If you go with, say, 3 mates then for 2 breakfasts :-
4 x 2 Bacon barms @ £5 ea = £40
16 x rashers of bacon + 8 x barms + 2 x disposable bbqs = £10
There's an even cheaper way of doing it.
Stop off at Didds shop on the way and get 8 x baconbarms (£1 all day, every day) and then ask for them to be individually wrapped up in tin foil. As and when you want one the following morning, just bung one of the packages down your grundies to bring it up to body temperature and then feast away
Total Cost: £8.00
-
What did it say?
-
How much are disposable bbqs these days?
How much for a pack of bacon?
How much for some butter and sauce?
How much for a few barmcakes?
Basically spend a fiver and get someone else to cook it for you whilst you sip a can in a 2 minute queue
Or
Carry a crap load of stuff to your tent and spend 2 hours firing up a BBQ on pee wet ground hungover and pissed off.
Not even worth the hassle in my books.
Why would it take 2 hours to light a disposable BBQ? - they are generally good to go within 5 or 6 minutes
At least doing it yourself you can be sure of decent qaulity bacon and more than one rasher of it
edit: decided to take the last line out....

We better bloody had.
I've been and bought my flags for my van and o hang out of my bedroom window.
I certainly hope we qualify, otherwise all that face-paint I've stockpiled will go to waste

Sounds like a very worried man.
Who ever took the job on after Ferguson was always going to have an impossible mission. I think he'll just about see the season out for them and then be turfed out in favour of a "big name" manager
He'll also probably age about 10 years in the next 10 months as well.
United will probably be looking at finishing outside the top 2 this season, and I'll bet that's not happened very often in the last 20 years
-
I doubt England will make it to Brazil. I can see us getting beat by Ukraine and drawing our home games.
I'm with you on that, I don't think that we'll qualify either
-
He's going to fit into Sir Alex's shoes nicely it would seem
-
If they are, you can bet Morris has an interest in it, somehow.
Morris Dancing?
-
What have they got to look forward to now?
A piss poor attempt at gaining independance....something they will all claim they want, and then when it comes to the vote it'll be stacked about 80% to 20% in favour of staying in the union. Every Scotcher you ever speak to though will claim they voted for it. Full of shit the lot of them

PS I'm writing a poem. The only words I've rhymed at the moment are Metro and hetro.
Barm, harm...

Even if you put some bloke on with an acoustic guitar, his mates and family turn up... This is simple business sense though.
One of the pubs near me started to do "open mic" type nights and "jam nights" every Sunday - they seem to be very popular with loads of crusty types turning up, they just seem to drink cider and play away until kicking out time. It ensures a decent bit of trade on what would otherwise be a pretty dead night I would have thought.
Another local has just advertised it will be putting a comedy night on once a month as well, again it should generate a bit on interest and atmosphere in what is usually just a dull "Real Ale" pub that only ever seems full when they have a CAMRA beer festival on......which does seem to be every 6 weeks or so thinking about it

some friends of mine are going, and they've hired a VW Camper Van for the weekend.....£600! - fucking madness, for that price plus the cost of the tickets they could have gone away for a week
-
seen this on twitter so may have been posted already
anyway
should've had this as the statue, leaning on the doors at the main entrance
I'd like to see some of the fat cunts who go to the match today trying to squeeze in through that doorway

It's free on TV XL package, i'm not sure what this is though, as the parents pay it?
Any idea?
I've got the TV XL Package, it's basically all the channels (except SkySports and Movies) - in other words, about 250 channels, of which 245 of them are pretty cack.
If you have 37 HD channels then you've got the XL package - just flick 187 on the remote, if it brings up BBC 2 HD, then you've got the XL package, if it doesn't bring it up, then you don't have and you'll have to get it added to the existing package. A threat to leave, citing that you prefer to watch HD stuff usually get's them to upgrade you (this is what I did in May, and have got a free upgrade from "L" to "XL" for the next 12 months
-
I was going to ring them up tomorrow and complain about the removal of ESPN (in order to try and get a further billing reduction...) - looks like I won't have to. As saiud above, getting the BT channels and ESPN as well for free is pretty good....I'm not sure I would want to pay for it though
-
Have you lost a lot of money then Slimey Carlos? - or have you got other mules bringing more gear over?
-
that daft roundabout in Leyth at Twist Lane/Atherleigh Way is a bit dangerous as well, I've seen loads of bumps on there. Anyway, it's all dug up at the minute, so I presume they're sorting it out now
-
Heard on the news that they're looking at doing 6 years, but if they 'fess up they'll only serve 2.
It's a calculated risk I suppose, it might well be worth it if you get away with it

I remember that. Was it for an insurance company?
