  1. It just looks like something that LW has written. You know you shouldn't be able to understand/decipher it, but somehow you can
  2. why though? - especially when your lot are so subservient to the English any every other aspect of life?
  3. They're the Irishists though, so fuck 'em. I presume they don't pay towards the BBC licensing fee, so they're lucky to get anything at all, if they don't like it then they can always watch Eurosport
  4. I must admit, I've never seen him be much more than shit when I've seen him play. I obviously didn't see his time at Ipswich, but he must have been decent, perhaps he just got his big move too soon, hopefully if we sign him we can see what he is really capable of. On the evidence I've seen so far I'm not overly convinced he's the mythical 20 goals a season man that we want. I hope I'm wrong
  5. is that a live feed or is it one from the late 70's - the bunch of scruffy backward buggers. Anyway, how long into the game tonight do you think it'll be before the commentators say that the Scotch are the "Best supporters in the world" - I'll give it less than 90 seconds
  6. Perhaps they are being ran well. Two near me have closed down in the last six months sadly. I suspect one of the reasons is that two big "chain pubs" have opened quite close by and appear to be taking most of the trade. The prices in the local Wetherspoons are incredible, just incredible. On a Saturday you can get "scampi, chips and peas" plus a pint for about £4.50 - how the fuck anybody can compete with that is beyond me. It's always rammed is the Wetherspoon until about 10 and then people toddle off to the more local pubs....that's no good for the locals really, as folk tend to be smashed already when they get there and so spend very little. I am all for more freehouses above identikit pubs, but as The Gonzo says, a couple of quiet months and it starts getting tough for them
  7. It's a big day out for them. The sad thing is, if they manage to beat us today, it'll be the biggest and most important thing that has happened to a lot of them so far in their servile wretched lives, the bunch of miserable, fried mars bar eating, cave dwelling pissed up cunts It's a very sad fact that the Scotchers would rather beat England at Wembley than win the world cup
  8. unlimited sausage is what the punters want, and I right The Gonzo, or am I right?
  9. I think you're right, I've just checked the night vision camera I set up and he's definitely doing something inappropriate to me, and I'm clearly out of it
  10. I thought this until quite recently, then I saw the facts. My brother-in-law used to work for Punch Taverns and now works for Fullers as an area manager. We were talking about this very scenario the other week and I trotted out how the only way to succeed wasto have a free house. He then, much to my chargrin, proceed to produce a document that showed that far more "freehouses" are going to the wall than managed or tennanted pubs. The problem the freehouses seem to have is that they are generally mortgaged right up to the hilt, even if they'r eable to buy their ale cheaper, their running costs can be massive, especially if they want a refurb - a brewery tends to help with this and they're also currently willing to look at rent supports etc. Anyway, the gist of the conversation ended up that he conceded that pubs are being killed off due to not just beer cost but also people changing their habits (a lot of folk now prefer to drink wine instead of ale, and why go to a grotty pub to enjoy a nice glass of red?) plus people can still keep in tocuh and communicare with each other through social media instead of having to meet in the pub - it's sad, but probably true. Loads of people spend their time in coffee shops as well now, and that certainly didn't happen 20 years ago. Even pubs that look busy may not actually be successful. Pubs now have to be able to offer a lot more than they used to in order to stay appealing.....Sport, WiFi, food and coffee etc. Apparently, according to one of his reports, the largest seller of coffee in the UK in 2012 was......Wetherspoons, now that is fucking sad when a pub chain is selling more coffee than actual coffee chains! I constantly mourn the passing of "the pub" although I am amazed when people say "It's a shame that the local has closed down, it was a cracking little boozer back in the day" - "When did you last go in there" - "Probably about 10 years ago"......
  11. It can't have been that loud as I didn't wake up....
  12. She really is loveliness isn't she, there's a picture around of her eating a banana in one of her recent films that's very pleasing to look at somewhere. I'm sure somebody will do the honours
  13. Do you sell it in the butty shop Didds?
  14. I agree, it is lovely cooked into things, but on a cracker I don't like it at all, it's too sour tasting for my liking
  15. I'm with Homo on this one, as long as there's no Stilton involved in the cheese n biscuits bit
  16. So what you're saying is that you like a bit of foreign meat.
  17. Sadly, I know what he's saying there....
  18. That's quite funny, I'm going to nick it and claim it as my own
  19. I think that's an urban myth NB, you should know better than to post such stuff
  20. What about his brother, Chris?
  21. ....to be fair, I think it was me who mentioned £120 not Smiley. I'm sure he would have been Chucking in the reacharound himself anyway though, as an extra sweetener.
  22. I'll wager that you don't often have a Kraft single melted onto a potato waffle very often (do you still have that packet of waffles in the freezer?)
  23. His goal scoring record certainly can't be argued with, incredible goals per game ratio. How much would he be worth these days I wonder......of Bale is worth £85M
