mickbrown
Despite what us experts think, Evatt (you know, the bloke paid to make these decisions) picks Kachunga week in, week out. So those who have a issue with Kachunga really have an issue with Evatt. Edited January 25, 2023 by mickbrown

The vast majority will have issues with the lad playing but won’t vocalise it. However last night the cheering of him going off was as loud as when we scored. Now that might just be isolated to what happened last night but I doubt it will subside now the knives are out. It’s almost like we play with 10 anyway god forbid what it’ll be like when his confidence is through his arse and fans (wrongly) are on him every time he’s near the ball. I didn't say no one is booing - I just haven't heard it. There were a couple of thickos near us who booed it a bit last season, but they've either moved or decided to shut up. The only stuff I've heard this season is when we had that female Linesman (😁) on the East side. Can't even remember what game it was, but some stupid old cunt was giving her absolute dogs abuse from minute 1. Proper vile stuff. Think he got slung out at half time. Was very close to saying something to the steward, but somebody must have got there before me.
lobbypond
Evatt seems very calm and rational about the situation. It's always a positive when there's no hints of onions with our managers.

Not a bad thing actually, as hopefully they'll get a new manager bounce and who knows maybe take points of some around us as they battle for survival. Take Hunt Off
Having seen the highlights video it’s obvious Katchunga was fouled before he reacted with the rabbit punch , to state the obvious he shouldn’t have done it . Its also obvious he is trying to inform the referee he is the guilty party to no avail. The clapping / booing as he was substituted was an overreaction in my view.In a situation where we have few upfront options this was really counterproductive & probably reflects the fans anxiety at our recent transfer dealings & injury situation. Like others I don’t really understand what Katchunga brings to the team , but as others have said Evatt picks him week in week out & as such I try to support the team & not direct abuse at the player as many did around the ground last night. Anyway great three points thanks in the main to their lack of cutting edge & the work rate of of our team . Sadlier & John must be on their way not even getting on the pitch last night. ianofcleveleys
I was in East Upper so hard to pick up on the HT stuff (turned into a proper to-do anyway) but no doubt at all he was sent on his way off with a resounding chorus. Over the top, unhelpful and destructive (to any self confidence Kachunga may still have). Shows those who did it up in a pretty poor light, the same light most of them no doubt cast when they're foaming at the mouth like hysterical 12 year olds on Twitter. Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 25, 2023 Site Supporter Share Posted January 25, 2023 Whether it's helpful or not, fans will sometimes express their feelings towards players. Always happened and will do so in the future. People's emotions get the better of them on occasions to say the least.

Booing them on, off or in the game just never been something I've felt to have any value. Haven't held back from giving it to the team as a collective (at the end of a game), the manager, the board, at some point over the years but that's where my line is I suppose. I didn't like that last night.

Bang fucking on. Perverse. OK, if its a dodgy/unlucky sending off you could understand, but when it's a blatant red for an act of stupidity then no. I remember Jason Lowe getting his marching orders against Shrewsbury (iirc). He was exacting retribution for one of theirs having a go at some youngster on our team. Set a poor example and put pressure on us. A couple near us applauded, whereas another gave an alternate view that he'd been unprofessional and may have cost us. Virtually a mass brawl over it!
