Members bolty58
I truly hate those names. Why can't they just be Australia? Both coming to Wembley soon. I have been waiting since that idiot Sven fucked around at Upton Park and sentenced me to years of piss taking. Hoping that Southgate's virtue signallers win 5-0 for once and likewise the Lionesses. This transcends the folly they insist on engaging in. Must wins - both games. Preferably humiliation.
Site Supporter barryk32 Posted February 21 Site Supporter Share Posted February 21 The girls set out to batter every team they play, they'll give you your 5-0. Southgate though is boring as fuck, 0-

Not sure how you could be bothered by their names. Does the '3 Lions' and 'Lionesses', and talk of football coming home every 2 years, also bother you ? How did Sven fuck about at Upton Park ? From memory, he picked a strong team first half, and they were 2-0 down to an Australian side that had most of its starting 11 playing regularly in the Premier League, and a few that could easily have made the England team. Fast forward 20 years, and the Socceroos are now abysmal. The Matildas should give the Lionesses a run though. What's an Olyroo or a Hockeyroo? Fucking daft. The Swede fucked about by not taking it very seriously being unaware of the sporting rivalry. Move back to Lancashire and get back on the turps. As an aid here's their squad. Schwarzer, Neill, Moore, Popovic (Vidmar 72), Lazaridis, Emerton, Okon (Muscat 87), Skoko (Bresciano 45), Chipperfield (Grella 76), Viduka (Sterjovski 85), Kewell (Aloisi 56). Subs Not Used: Kalac, Tiatto. Kewell, Viduka & Schwarzer were decent players but they'd have been up against Owen, Rooney and James & Robinson. They'd have been fortunate to have been in our long 40. Almost that entire squad was playing regularly in the top leagues in Europe - England, Italy, Spain. And a couple at Rangers. From the starting 11's ... I'd take : - Schwarzer over James - Kewell over Beattie - Viduka over Owen (Viduka scored more than Owen in 2002/2003) - and anyone (probably Chipperfield) over Dyer. Even Bresciano on the bench was the top-scoring midfielder in Serie A that season level with Kaka.

Don’t doubt overall that Owen was better than Viduka, but when this game was played, Viduka was scoring more than Owen; had taken Leeds to the Champions League semi-final; had held talks with AC Milan and Man Utd in the pre-season. https://www.fotmob.com/news/1jagbadiexu9110dembjxdm0nz-aussie-great-viduka-reveals-he-almost-joined-milan,-held-man-utd-talks Recently watched a documentary on Viduka, where Gary Neville said Viduka was analysed by Ferguson more than any other player. Viduka scored 5 in 9 games against Man U. Owen scored 3 in 15 games against them. At the time Eng played Aus, a lot would have taken Viduka and Kewell over Beattie and Owen. Dr. Feelgood
I may have to grant you James Beattie, but Viduka on the bench with Owen starting.
