Is it "soft" to not televise football injuries?

You're watching the match and something controversial happens where a player gets potentially badly injured?

Is it "soft" to not show a replay of the incident?

What about if it turns out the player is in the dressing room and seems OK? Is it OK to show it then?

And if you agree that it slushy be shown, where do you think the cut off point lies?

A player gets a head injury and goes off on a stretcher?

A player gets a broken leg from a late tackle?

A player twists his ankle?

As a fan who is invested in watching the match and wanting to have an opinion on the relevant parts of the match, isn't it fair to show the incident, such as the Trafford incident, so that we can discuss if it should be a red card or no card etc?

I can imagine the Accy fans wanting to see that again so that they can feel justified in calling for a red.

Are all incidents there to be seen?

Or are some things just too bad to show?

Are we better off letting the broadcaster decide? Or are we in danger of losing the power to decide things for ourselves?

Not seen it, so can't comment... 😁

Maybe you have a point.

Might be overthinking the issue slightly here pal

Maybe over worded it.

But I looked away from the screen for about 3 seconds, missed it, and now I've no idea if we should have been down to ten men.

I can imagine that if we were playing united and they should have had a player sent off (which cost us a place at Wembley) we would be fuming if sky didn't let us see it...

Basically. What the fuck happened?

We are lucky that Traf didn’t get a red? Or a complete accident and he shouldn’t have had a yellow? Who knows cos they won’t show it

Thought it was strange to not show it again from the main camera angle at least. As you say, allowing fans to get a better informed opinion in real time.

I get it that you might not want to see the Accrington lad's eyes 360 in his skull in an HD zoomed-in replay, but there's nothing gory about that main angle. 50/50 anyway, no arm from Trafford, free kick at most.*

*Alright, on reflection, maybe it was a yellow. Not bothered 🙃

it's pointless not showing the clip as it will be readily available on twitter 2 minutes after anyway

my daughters banged her head worse than that coming together last night

she just has a moan and asks for a fruit shoot

You can't say fruit shoot anymore 😉
