Maghoma started well but seemed to tire pretty quick

Once booked, i felt he did very little

But i think hes a big player for us

That was my view too.

The qualities he had on display in the first half were not only fantastic, but were different to what the other midfielders were providing; turn of pace, skilful/accurate lay-offs, shooting on sight and driving through the lines with the ball.

Like you say with those attributes he’s got a lot to offer this season.

But as we know, in an Evatt side, midfielders have to work as hard off the ball as they do with it. And i think he did this to an extent, but it didn’t half tire him out and as a result his impact lessened as the game went on.

He deffo looked good in the 1st half prior to being booked. Get him fit, he looks different to what we already have  in midfield.

Agree. Something about him suggests he will be important to what we do.

Another one we broke and have to build up again

Maybe these new signings dont really get how fit they need to be until they break down

It shows, to me at least, what an absolute beast bradley is

He’s been out for a while so I don’t think we can expect him to come back in and be at full fitness.

As others have said, his first half showed what he can do and once he gets up to full fitness I think he’ll be a massive player for us - he’s just got that something different, it all looks very natural with him.

Maybe the booking arrived, in part at least, as a result of his exertions?

A few more games, he'll be reet.

Certainly need him at the moment, with Dempsey and Mendes Gomes out.

I've said this for the last 2 years.

Any new player we bring in breaks within no time because the training level is higher than they're used to & get injuries very quickly. Then we've got to wait til they're fit again & start to get up to pace. 3-6 months later we start seeing the best of them.

Can't carry on like that.

I'm not sure our training is much more intense than others.

If it is, then maybe they need to learn to moderate it, and protect players and keep them available for more games.

Big Sam seemed to get that part just right.
