Site Supporter FrancisFogarty Posted July 8, 2023 Site Supporter Posted July 8, 2023 Couldn’t possibly have gone any better for him. Brilliant stuff. Quote
stevieb Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 He's had an amazing season. Did he have 26 clean sheets for us and 6 in the euros? Mental. We'll be the same as Preston is to Beckham in a few years time. Regardless of that it can only be a good thing for England that we've got a keeper with a season and half of first team men's football, a Wembley win and a euro winners medal at the age of 20. Just hope he gets game time at Burnley. Quote

ErnestTurnip Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 I don't rate him anywhere near as much as a lot of our fans do but hope he has a fantastic career and that today helps that. Quote
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted July 8, 2023 Site Supporter Posted July 8, 2023 Kinell- a tremendous presence between the sticks. Not all keepers have that, and it's a massive boost to the team, and the defenders in particular. Quote

None at all. Hes won them the cup. Fantastic. Shouldn't have had to make the 2nd save if yon fella gets in first. Quote
Lostock Whites Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 Maybe just one day, we will be back in the Prem under Evatt and we sign him up again for permanent. Im allowed to dream at least. Quote

I was already so pleased for the lad, as we all obviously are, but that had me bursting with pride. Love it! Let's hope he takes the time to say it shortly after winning the world cup in 2026 😁 Quote
Dr Faustus Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 for me, it was the recovery to make the spread on the second save that showed his athleticism and his mentality. the pen was poor, and predictable. the first step back after placing the ball will give an indication of where he his headed (based upon his feet). the slow skip in the run tells you he isnt going for power, and he'll likely wait for you to move. two keepers in this house absolute buzzing with him not all heroes wear capes... some of us don gloves Quote
Tombwfc Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Everyone is entitled to their opinions, which may even prove right in time. But it is pretty funny how things have gone for the 'Traff is overrated and no better than Accrington's keeper' brigade. £19m transfer to a Premier League club, six clean sheets and a last minute penalty save to win England U-21s a championship. In the mud, as the kids would say. Quote
W.cramp Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 We definitely should of had a 'we made him what he is today' clause in his transfer to the 6 fingered mob ! Was good to see that last night Quote
