7-1, please. PLEASE!

Yeh that would be nice.

I’ll never forget my BWFC alltime low - 3 years ago stood in the pissing  rain at Accy as their 7th goal went in & their fans sang “You’re fucking shiiiit”

Expecting us to get absolutely smashed about (physically), they’ll want some kind of retribution for the semi final I’d imagine.

One saving grace is that a point isn’t enough really for them, they’re going to have to go for it (on paper) which will suit us.

Saw midweek that the lad Traff had a ‘collision’ with in the Semi got sent off for this last weekend…

I would love us to knock a payback 7 past this set of Bastard Rovers wannabe's but will settle for a 1-0 from an undeserved penalty which hits both posts, the goalkeepers ar............ - you know the rest. Any sort of win will do.

If we win which virtually condemns them, aligned to the fact we came from 2 down to beat them earlier in the season and again to get to Wembley, I'll consider them trampled on our way back.

Still 1 or 2 more I want to see suffer the same fate yet

A point would probably be good enough for Accrington if they can beat Cambridge & Oxford in their last 2 games, both of which are very winnable.

Surely we should have too much for them though. Get an early goal and we will win.

As others have said it would be nice to virtually condemn them.

This is my reading of it. They have 2 x 6-pointers to come so a parking of the bus, hope for a point & see if they can scrawp a win v us.

We simply have to find ways of getting early goals. They tire teams out far more than us running them about ball chasing.

Yep. Coyle got a straight red and will serve his 3rd match out v us.

He's a McLean wannabe shitstirring, goading thug.

Not sure what to expect from Accrington really. They can't be expecting much from either Oxford or Cambridge who have both improved no end recently as we found out in our struggles against them. Sure they both lost on Saturday (against Barnsley and Argyle as expected) but they both gave us a hard time and they've both had results against top teams recently, Cambridge beating Posh for example (thank you U's!)

In Stanley's position with games running out, they've really got no choice but to go for the win.

After their narrow 1 nil loss away at Portsmouth John Coleman tried to take the pressure off his players by saying it was all his fault - and weirdly included recruitment in that - but then said it was up to the players to prove they are L1 standard.

The idea that they'll play for a draw against us in the hope that they'll pick up wins later doesn't make any sense to me - there are only 3 games left FFS.

In their position I'd expect them to show us no respect whatsoever, to battle for everything, to throw the kitchen sink at us and generally go all out for the win. If we make the mistake of letting them score first, sure they might park the bus, but the longer it remains goalless the more adventurous and gung ho they'll be IMO.

Folk are saying that will suit us. Well only if we find our goal scoring boots and not have to depend on Sheehan pinging one in from distance. For me it's a simple equation - we need to play well and we need to score first.

Expecting the same.  10 and 11 behind the ball, physically robust (that challenge upthread is a feckin outrage!), on at the ref and lots of aerial balls towards MJ.

If we go at em with a good tempo, shoot and cross occasionally,  we should have too much for them. The longer it stays 0-0 the more twitchy I'll get.

I've just had a look at our recent results.

So we haven't scored more than 1 goal in a league game (discounting Wembley) since February 25th, where we beat Port Vale 2-1

That's 10 games ago!

Despite this I'd happily see us 1-0 our way to the end of the season, but I would love us to hammer these pricks tomrorow.

I like the club, they’ve done incredibly well to get back. I guess the 7-1 taints?

Aye can’t say they bother me. Punching well above their weight. I was at the 7-1 and hate our team from that day far more than theirs.

Find the hate for Accrington quite interesting. On par with Morecambe for me in terms of hard to get excited about.

Any sort of win please.

It’s not hatred at all for me.

Its revenge for the 7-1 & also the ruthless mindset needed to virtually relegate them.

Irrespective of the opposition it’s not every day you can virtually seal a teams relegation and when you can then do it.

A lot of bad karma that won't help with the luck gods on here :)

Personally I like Accrington - proper old club with a huge history including being champions of England twice.

Still hope we batter them tomorrow, but I have more time for them than Wigan or Blackburn.
