fast forward 20 years

“Are you that lad who did the easy 100% when they were all Saturdays”🤣🤣🤣

They laughed at those simpler days, as they came together for Stoke at home in the 2pm Thursday slot.

No probalem with women's football, don't watch it. But i do have a problem with all the women commentating, giving summaries on the mens game.

I agree with you on the summarisers. But the female commentators are often very good and a bit of a throwback. Much less prone to silly hyperbole and inane, chummy sense of humour. They just commentate on the game.

👆👆 This.

There's one in particular, & she's been around a while so it's not getting any better, who screeches fit to cut crystal.

... & the way Sky & the BBC rewrite history when they bring in an assessor ... "Here is Stacey Nobollox, England's most capped left back". No. No she's not, she may well be the most capped Woman, England Ladies most capped.

There's an easy way to settle this. Open class football. No woman player would, on merit, get to play for Weymouth Reserves.

Not overly keen on getting too deeply in to this in the midst of an away day (having a minute back at hotel before Bristol rd III) but the very top end of the WSL have got tremendous technical ability. Physicality no of course not, but neither have a thousand late teens in academies up and down the land.

Look, i dont mind watching it, but tremendous is pushing it

Theres a load of hype around toone and russo, but honestly, theyre really not so good

Bronze is probably the best english player ive seen, and even then, her physicality is what sets her apart. I know shes not in england now, btw ;)

A recently deceased Horwicher with 35 England (Mens) caps (13 Goals) was asked to help coach the England Womens International team as a Forward coach.

The word he used was "laughable". He argued that in every position they were as poor as we all can see in the goalkeeping area, just that it stands out & can't be ignored in keepers.

"Delusional" was another word. They scoffed at his paltry 35 caps, they refused to be coached by a man who's hey day was a couple of decades ago. He didn't deal in coaching gobbledegook the women were all mired in.

I was willing to listen to Paul Mariner over interested parties.

Is someone forcing you to watch women's football? If not, then get get back in your cave.

The bit that you and many fools are missing is that more women are now playing sports than ever before.

That's what really matters.....
