As good as it was to see it that way - the Bradley Dack lookalike daytripper that was sat 2nd row from the front of the WSU and hurled abuse at the team all game, ending it with “fuck off Evatt you useless fat c*nt” can stay away. Id rather have empty seats than an extra thousand or so of them twats.

I'm relatively new to Twitter and was pretty shocked to see comments from Wanderers fans on there yesterday naming individual players

"so and sos feckin rubbish", "he's a feckin disgrace", "he was shite as usual" etc. After a draw. God knows how you'd feel reading stuff like that from your own fans.

Twitter is bin juice

Don’t think we played badly at all, two evenly matched teams. Think the pressure might have been on us naturally to take one or two goal advantage to oakwell, but once we realised that they were stopping us play our natural game it became edgy and you could tell the players were focused on not making a mistake rather than being brave and taking a gamble. The pressure will be on them on Friday and we know that one goal maybe enough, don’t get this abuse of our players . Everyone of them was faultless yesterday

If we play like we can play - we'll tonk Barnsley of Friday. If we dont, we won't.

Simple as that really. We didn't turn up at all yesterday. Still fancy us on Friday though.

The most notable poor performers yesterday were Morley and Bradley (the latter was more a case of being marked out of the game). Both of them have more than enough credit in the bank to not deserve any stick.

Randell and Elias largely played how they play, which is ultimately not really good enough to be starting for or against a top team in the division. That's not their fault either, and Williams at least contributed our best attacking moment.

Didn’t think Bradley had a bad game he was simply taken out as an attacking threat and he doesn’t link up as much with Toal as he does with Gethin. He defended really well though and made some super tackles. I agree about Morley his passing was poor and could have cost us.

randell was fine IMO and there is nothing between him and Declan John as they both make a number of bad passes. Kachunga is a bit lightweight against physical sides like Barnsley but he put a shift in yesterday; in fact they all did

Barnsley worked us out & knew what to expect.

I'm normally a fan of ref's not being card-happy but Barnsley set their stall out inside the first minute & followed it up again 2 minutes later. The ref. needed to have a word.

Agree with the opinions that their midfield got the better of ours on the day.

Part of that was individual performances, Morley in particular gave the hall away with simple passes a few times and Sheehan barely got on the ball it seemed.

Dempsey dropped much deeper second half and was almost playing as a right midfielder at times which helped us build up better.

Still all to play for. Don’t think the heat did us any favours, Dions pressing wasn’t as intense as usual. I was knackered just sitting in the sun can’t imagine what it was like running around in it for 90 mins.

Biggest plus for me Friday will be our fitness, if we keep it tight don’t concede their big lumps will run out of puff

they pressed all over 1st half yesterday they can’t do that for 90mins or even going into ET

Barnsley set out to make sure Bradley knew he was going to have a hard time. Often referees notice this targeting these days but after the first two tough challenges and despite other Bolton player’s protestations to the ref about Barnsley’s rough-house tactics he seemed oblivious.
The ref must’ve forgotten to pack his cards.

Pretty balanced views on here. Barnsley were the better team and IMO should have pushed more to win the game as we had a lot of players not at 100%.
Morley really struggled and gave the ball away a lot.

Thought Rico did well and won a lot of ball.

Sheehan was anonymous with no impact on the game Lego head or Lee on Friday I think.

Barnsley did seem to have us sussed out but we also seem reluctant to attack down our left especially in first half. As we did this more we got some joy and eventually a goal.

Tough task on Friday but certainly a game we can win although Barnsley are a decent team.

People giving young Luca grief need to give their head a wobble

Where Im at. We totally lost the midfield.

They did a job on Bradley, when hes quiet it normally means we are.

Was a great day and not a bad result. We will be better with a more open game.

Best atmosphere I’ve known in there for many a year, by the way.

The big flag looked brill and the noise was fantastic. More of that next season please

Aye I think the reaction after their goal helped with our immediate response

Think only 4th time this season Barnsley have conceded to drop points after taking a lead

Would have been better if it moved along the terrace from left to right, perhaps that was a task to far for the the fans in ESL.

Fridays ref is a card happy chap.

There were 'officials' holding the corners up the aisles so it wasn't going to move. Probably just brought in to look good on TV and to the players when entering the pitch.

Don't see it having the same impact at home to Leyton Orient on a Tuesday night in Feb

Barnsley did a job on us, worked incredibly hard to ensure they pressed, we were at 2nd gear all game and definitely didn't play as well as we are capable of.

But saying all this gives me confidence because 1 they didn't carve us up or have lots of chances, just pressure from throw ins and corners, which we defended very well

And 2, it finished 1-1 and was still relatively a fair result in the end, both clubs XG of 1.5, shows it was tight.

Therefore we can have immense confidence going to their place, I suspect we will definitely raise our game and they will be under greater pressure.

Dominate the ball like we do but play with greater tenacity. We are a better footballing team than them, we just need to play our game better and continue to defend their set piece orientated game.
