we could sell all the players and reduce the debt - impractical obvs

when they started we had squad worth half of nowt

theres a good few million in that squad now

and, id expect current debt is lower than in the article liked to - despite the bond loan

It is significantly lower, as KM explained.

We're going to have to wait and see where it's at currently, until the next set come out.

Clearly we've spent a bit, and presumably that spend was looked at in consideration of our overall financial position, but it's not been massively chucking money around, and income is clearly on the up.

Don’t know if I’ve misheard/misunderstood/misremembered

But didn’t Michael James throw a substantial amount of his (his company’s) money into saving us? And he’s part of FV isn’t he?

And I thought the shares and government loans were shrewd and viable ways of creating funds?

But then again I’m pretty crap when it comes to finances!

And again this question might be obvious to some, but can a football club that nearly went out of existence, be both aspiring to get in the championship and remain debt free 3 years later unless owned by billionaires?

Largely based on those (possibly unintelligent) assumptions and a large degree of trust and faith in our good/honest people in charge, I’m very happy with the current situation.

Bang on.

Even with mega wealthy individuals, there is no guarantee of writing debts clean off.

Look across from winter hill, towards Stretford- their mega rich owners, put their acquisition money onto a debt for the club.

Perfectly serviceable debt; and they can use it as a cash cow, and piss off fans in one go.

Reckon we've done pretty well.

In terms of retain/release, what’s the actual situation with Paris? Do we have an option on him in the summer or is he destined to go back to Brentford? The only article I read from him seemed to suggest he was looking forward to getting back there to push for a first team place? Could we even afford him if we did want him or would someone with deeper pockets come in for him as I wouldn’t imagine a hard deal has been done for him to come here yet?

To have any chance, I reckon we'll need to go up.
