Somebody was on about kachunga being on 8

When i asked i was told 'most' of the top end were on 4, including EK

Skybet early odds

7/1 to win the league

9/4 promotion

IE likes a bet (allegedly), so how about he loses all of the first month’s fixtures, drive the odds to somewhere like 20/1 and then put your 50p e/w on it. 😂

Only read the first page but do agree with a lot of what Tomski said and Desperado. More inclined to look on the optimistic side of Desperado but there are oddities about Evatt that he needs to improve on. Main one for me is the rigidity of the system and big game management.

One dimensional gets thrown around a lot for Long Ball teams and fair enough but we become a bit one dimensional being a possession team too, when at times we really need to get the ball forward quickly and ask more questions.

League One defences aren’t amazing and if you can cause chaos in the opposition box you’re going to score rather than passing it around the box and not taking the opportunity to cross and shoot

Having said all that, we have improved year on year so I trust Evatt and the board to do that again even with losing Trafford and Bradley.
excited to see how we go about making those improvements and while I hope Evatt addresses the rigid system concerns and gives the team a second tactic for games where it’s not working I would love to be proven wrong and pass teams to death all the way to automatic promotion

Had we found a regular partner for Dion and we'd be laughing having your right back as 2nd top scorer on 6 isn't good enough to go up.

Keeper and RWB are obviously big jobs in the summer but getting a tune out of 'the other forward' is going to be his biggest for next season.

He’s done well overall after a shaky start to say the least!!!!

Firstly it’s a good job we weren’t in the ground or he would be gone.

Lucky to get us up automatically with a low points total but a fantastic run since Jan.

Last season OK, top half finish - happy.

This season - very good. Clear progress and a Cup win.

He has 2 seasons to get us up now for me.

I would love it if he could manage it.

Yes, progress would be to finish in the top 4 and at least have the slight advantage of a 2nd leg play off at home.

Re that first half a season under IE, I don't like to miss any home games, but what luck that if we had to miss a season, it involved that embarrassing period upto Christmas.  As you suggest the atmosphere could have got toxic, especially the "local derby" defeats to Oldham, Tranmere and Vale.  And being 3 down at HT at Carlisle would have been fun too.

Definitely makes you grateful for where we are now.

We were there and it wasn’t!!!!!

FT was OK though apart from the weather 😀

Of course, you were everywhere that season!

But if there'd been 2k Bolton fans baying for blood in the 1st half, it wouldn't have been pleasant.  I know we drew in the end but some players would have taken some proper stick before the comeback started (Thomasson's first goal, thought he was a goalscoring midfielder at that point!).
