Well before they were booted off air. The mp made accusations much later in parliament, and apparently claimed he had received over half a million from them. Complete bollocks apparently as that figure was the total earnings for the year for Farage's company. In short, the mp got his facts wrong and knows it and certainly won't make the accusations again in public. It seems though that shit sticks. It should be fairly easy for the authorities to ascertain if the money was made illegally, but in the years since, nothing. Also read now that Farage has instructed lawyers to sue the bank- guess we'll see how that goes. Something needs sorting as it seems hundreds and hundreds of people are having their accounts closed and no reasons given. A ridiculous state of affairs that any person can be subject to such behaviour, without recourse or even made aware of any supposed evidence. ..and what an obnoxious bastard he really is. Scumbag who wouldn't dare repeat that outside of parliamentary privilege. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 Th'Argies do a decent riot. Just had a read and during the political/economic troubles in 2001, some 39 were killed, including 9 kids. Then some of the African lot, where life is cheap, kinell. Quote

Weird that some would rather have and welcome those that pose a potential threat to our western values and society over gammons raising issues with their backwards ideologies. Anyway ... Lt. Aldo Raine Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 He'd previously spent four years in prison having been convicted of planning a similar terrorist attack Quote

London Wanderer Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Few posts above All a bit sad really. An attack happens and posters can’t wait to get on here and score points. Nobody has said we should welcome people that pose a threat, but there’s another terror attack so let’s blame anyone & everyone who‘s a bit more pro immigration. For me the blame lies with the police here. Four years for planning a terror attack is scarily soft. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Known terrorists wouldn't be let in (legally). That isn't what was stated though. Quote

bolty58 Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Always the same ones leaping to the defence of the indefensible. Alternatively saying nowt. The West has stupidly allowed this cancer to live amongst us and, sooner or later, it will have to be addressed - most likely in a way which some of the faint hearts will find terribly upsetting. Blair, Merkel and plenty of others have a lot to answer for. Quote

Blair, Merkel and plenty of others have a lot to answer for. This is what concerns me. How the hell they put the cat back in the bag I don't know. We've now got (only) the odd mp seemingly basing their politics around Islam, and not the traditional secular approach, which must be raising alarm bells. How do you pass laws to prevent it, without judiciary intervening? Obviously politicians and judiciary should have a good degree if separation, but at some point if the latter continue to stifle the elected former, then there is the risk of scenes witnessed in Dublin spreading all over. Which in turn will give rise to a more polarised parliament and extreme policies. Quote
Lt. Aldo Raine Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Interestingly, I see France has just ignored the ruling of the ECHR and deported an Uzbek national with links to terrorism Quote
