Fabinho could be in his way as well. Looking at raising around 70 million in total for him and Henderson. Cracking bit of business

They'll have the world cup too soon enough.

2030 or 2034 is the talk, another winter world cup it would be. I'd also be knocking on for 50 so don't wanna think about it 😀

Side note I see it looks like a bid for a 5 nation UK hosted Euros in 2028 will have no opposition bid.

The 2030 bid was a joint one with Egypt and Oddly enough Greece but it's not happening now as SA are doing the Asia cup in 2027

Current active joint bids are Argentina, and some other nearby countries ( but not Brazil)

And Spain, Portugal and Morocco, then there was a suggestion Ukraine would get involved with some group games

So more likely 2034 then, imagine what the football landscape could look like by then! Bolton limbering up for their first crack at the World Champions League. Flying matchday buses, calls to sign bionic Zach Clough.

I had a feeling Spain might be trying to bid for a tournament before long, once Barcelona and Real Madrid's grounds are finished they'll have a decent spread of really high quality modern stadiums to use around the country. Now a Spain Portgual jointly hosted tournament I could get onboard with!

Was reading that SA promised Greece they'd pay for all the new grounds required for their bid!

Maybe bids that span two continents are the way forward

What was in it for Saudi?! I'm not a fan of tournaments spread all over but there's so many teams in them now that it can't be easy for one country to afford to host.

Will be 130 countries playing in it by then.

2030 WC is going to South America, Uruguay (100 years since 1st WC there), Argentina, Paraguay & possibly Chile.

2034 in Spain & Portugal would be superb!!

China will put the squeeze on all those nations in their debt at some stage.

The Austraila/NZ thing some women are giving a go at will always be an option given being any cop at the sport has been irrelevant since the time they let the Yanks buy it.

Plus, a multi-nation one across Central Africa, sponsored by the Wagner Group must be an option one day.

Further down the slippery slope.

There's no doubt in my mind they'll get a spot

No doubt whatsoever

On a similar theme, I note the BBC are now showing highlights of the Saudi fixtures on their website, the fucking idiots

Me neither, always imagined it being one of their goals from when this all kicked off. Place/s in UCL or a push for a World Champions League.
