thought there was already a thread, but seems not, and probably best to have it's own rather than in the gigs/music thread

anyway

been over the line ups and going to try and catch the following

The Hives
Lightning Seeds
Texas
Unknown Mortal Orchestra
The Churnups (assuming it's DG)
Xavier Rudd
Royal Blood
Arctic Monkeys
Kelis

The Magic Numbers
Manics
Guns N Roses
Lana Del Rey
Fatboy Slim

Alison Goldfrapp
Queens

Friday busy for me, plenty clashes, will catch up on Sunday when only two acts I want to watch

though might tune in to Toyah Wilcox and Robert Fripp

if you've never heard of or seen him, give Xavier Rudd a try

he's an Australian tree hugging hippy one man band with a digeridoo

a mate took me watching him on the Gold Coast in Oz

his warm up act were Aboriginal dancers

saw him a few months later at Academy 2 or 3

great live act, talented bloke

Leftfield are playing Saturday night, their tour has gone down a storm last few months so hoping to catch that.

Lottery Winners also playing more than once, living the dream. Surely Chemical Brothers must on at some point as well they're always there?!

Not sure how it’s happened, but you appear to have added Texas to an otherwise splendid list.

unless you meant it, in which case congratulations on reaching Olympian levels of blandness on your playlist.

If music was a colour, they’d be magnolia. Matt.

yeah, I did wonder about showing my hand there and adding them fully expecting such a response

I don't think i've ever listented to an album of theirs but there's enough there singles wise I reckon to stick them on in the background whilst working tomorrrow and cast my mind back to the late 90s

sometimes occasionally I don't mind sitting in the middle of the road

did you know, Sharleen Spiteri and Thierry Henry are best mates and he's her daughter's godfather

That's the most interesting thing about Sharleen Spiteri by a million miles.

If you want a better background noise than Texas, I can sit behind you all afternoon just whispering chapters of the bible to you through a cushion

It’s like having another persons earwax shoved down your ear canal.

I bet Romesh loves them.

Didn't think it was that good when I was there.

But a was really, really cold, rwally wet and covered in mud.

No doubt Jo Whiley was busy describing it as “spiritual”

Sounds fucking miserable to me

It’s great on a big telly with dead loud speakers though 😁😁😁

One festival I wouldn't go to for free, just doesn't appeal.

Of those on Zicos list, I'd watch Lightening Seeds and G&R.

Each to their own, can't imagine too many folk like the festivals I go to. The Longroad Festival in August is my next
