blossoms brought RA out during their tour to do a few smiths covers

it's obviously gone down well, hence why glasto asked them to do it

lots of tribute bands play glasto

Aye, Liam Gallagher did an oasis tribute last time he was there

80 with fees

You'll probably get at least 3 hours of them as well

Seen them 5 times

3 at the arena

1 at lancs

1 at mk bowl

It took till the 5th time for them to finally play the proper fast version of everlong

So I don't need to again now

Oh, and to kinda summarise all of the above rantings about Rick Astley. You take him for what he is in the very moment.

Since Glasto I doubt folk have headed straight over to Spotify to download his greatest hits…. Unlike some of the more “credible” artists (not that I don’t think RA is credible). Also, you have to take his Smiths cover set with a pinch of salt. He himself admitted he should be hung for performing it.

Made a Spotify play list of the QOTSA set for my runs. Works perfectly well.

Would’ve watched a bit more Glasto this week but been busy and then the cricket started!

Will have a quick hour of TWOD again now though.

That set has reality ignited my passion for them

Keep watching the set and listening to the This Is QOTSA playlist

Will be bored of them by the time the gig comes round

Think I’m on my 293839284th listen of the War on Drugs set now

I've never heard them before

this set I'm watching now is the first time I've heard any song by them

I don't get it

I mean, it's ok, but it whiffs of The Killers / Bruce Springsteen

with a bit of Bryan Adams

I'm envisaging middle aged men in cardigans playing air guitar listening to these

Right, no idea what was going on at Glastonbury but last night Axl's voice was the best I've heard. What a set as well - played Coma.

Anyway beyond ace.

He’s not gonna shag you.

And I was at iron maiden last night - They are somehow getting better with age. Bruce Dickinsons vocals were perfect, dunno how they keep going at their age

He might, looks like a dinner lady nowadays.

Iron Maiden? Don't tell me he also fought a 18ft rubber Eddie? Not sure if they are a band or a panto act.

Don’t be ridiculous.

There we’re 2 Eddies and they were both at least 20ft tall.

Talking of Maiden the opening act on John Peel stage was group called the Sixsters. Five sixteen year old girl Ukrainian refugees. Expected to get some folk music to politely applaud but they were straight up heavy metal with feet up on Amps, horn salutes and head banging throughout.

Bloody great fun

Enjoyed Lytham tonight. Kaiser Chiefs not bad.Blondie looked and sounded her age, but it was a good sing along. Sting didn’t look his age - he was very good.

Was there a shuttle back into Blackpool? Going tomorrow.
