Wanderlust Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Launches tomorrow morning? So it will be £50 plus £140 to watch the games via an app replacing the iFollow broadcast? Thoughts? Quote
gonzo Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 “Everyone needs to be aware that the streaming strategy changes at the end of the 2023/24 season, Sky Sports will have a red button version of that. We will not be able to stream games domestically via Wanderers TV Quote
tomski Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Hmmm reading that it sounds like 3pm blackout is done ? I thought it wasn’t though. Reckon it will still be on dodgy though Quote
waffer cup 07 Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 (edited) So basically your paying for live Wanderers games on Wanderers TV for 12 months, till Sky stop it.??? Edited July 17, 2023 by waffer cup 07 Quote

It’s a really mixed message article. Also seems odd to do it for 1 season. He suggests match pass domestically will be ready for Lincoln at home which is Sat 3pm. Quote
W.cramp Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Be on dodgy wont it on the away team stream. Last seasons game at derby was ok on rams tv Quote

Doubt it Someone somewhere still be streaming it for the providers to latch on to I presume that away fans won't have to subscribe via Wanderers TV to watch their team at our place Likewise we should be able to get streams of our away games via the home teams ifollow I would've thought Remains to be seen I guess but would be surprised if we can't get any game on IPTV next season Quote
Wanderlust Posted July 17, 2023 Author Posted July 17, 2023 If you pay the £140 where do you watch it? On an app on your phone? Or on SKY? And is that for home games only? Or away games only? Or all games? I'm sure the dodgy firestick will have it covered but I don't understand what the proposition is. Assume it will be filmed for the EFL show won't it? I still don't get it. Quote

I still don't get it. Nor do I, most confusing thing I've ever read. I'm not bothered about seeing behind the scenes interviews and all that shite, I just want to watch away games like I did on I Follow. So can I do that if I pay £190. At a tenner a league game I Follow cost me £230 last season plus some cup games. Quote
barryk32 Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Ifollow didn't give a shiny shit if you were using a VPN to get around the rules. They literally replied to an enquiry I had all but saying that. Shazza needs to come out and let us know if that's still the case. Quote

Blondi Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 So do I need to resubscribe to my Nord VPN to watch the games? That's going to cost me quite a lot. Quote
Underpants Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Back in the day I would buy, read and watch absolutely anything that had any references to BWFC. The days of buying football mags and recording Granada Reports for a 10 second clip of one of our games have drifted away with the years. Behind the scenes access doesn't seduce me like it would have done in the past. I'm not knocking WTV but I don't think I'll be subscribing to it. Quote
Casino Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Im not checking but hart says something like this You will be able to see interviews with sharon, ian and me Why the fuck would i want to hear owt from you, let alone pay for it Monkeys, organ grinders Quote

Aye I don't watch anything on YouTube bar highlights I've zero interest with any interviews with anyone, behind the scenes at lostock or anything like that Not sure when I lost interest but it was probably around the same time I asked my mum to stop buying me Wanderers calendars for Christmas Quote
Wanderlust Posted July 18, 2023 Author Posted July 18, 2023 I imagine the target audience for Wanderers TV isn't necessarily grumpy old men Quote

But I still ask for wanderers calendars from my mum (we know it’s Father Christmas really though) Quote

I don't know if they still do it but didn't the BN have a subscription fee for inside info and interviews? The problem with that BN carrot, and the WTV access all areas thing, is that in today's world anything worth knowing about will be out there for the masses to view or read within minutes of it being said on any subscription platform. I feel like my interest was spiked by the inaccessibility of the club/players. Seeking out TV clips at 10.35pm was part of the fun. So every BEN/Pink article/programme/fanzine was devoured and if we ever made it into a national paper it was a must-buy. My step daughter is obsessed with all the behind the scenes stuff and wants to know if I saw the interview with IE or such a player - I have no interest, I like watching them play football, that's as far as it goes. I wonder how different my formative Wanderers years would have been if it had been in this era, no anticipation of buying the BEN on the way home or listening to local news reports for transfer/injury updates or Phil Neal/Tony Philliskirk interviews 😄 Quote
