Second sentence , was that not just cos they beat the hated english ? We all know the Spanish fuckin hate us but love our money. For me the point is that for everyone else in the line up it was hugs and cheek kisses , very european, then it changed for her and only her . If our best mates did that to us after winning a world cup final would anyone bat an eyelid ? But they are not best mates or in a relationship , hardly know each other and was completely different to what he did to everyone else. Drag him through the coals the filthy spi...er person. Taking this incident in isolation - I think it's reasonable to give him the benefit of the doubt, and understand that he was caught up in the emotion moment. And that, on balance of probability he was just caught up in the money and that he want doing it for sexual kicks. If he's got a track record of it then throw the book at him. I'd never even heard of him till yesterday when he suddenly became the new Harvey Weinstein. You can't give someone a kiss they don't want, in any way shape or form. He's not Weinstein but it speaks to the general idea that it's OK, and it isn't. Then the follow up just made it worse, the air of entitlement the 'oh I'm sorry' without knowing its fundamentally out of order. It's about power and entitlement. I mean a manager is arguably more important than an individual player. So in that respect - has Spain's manager essentially been mansplaining? 😳 Did Phil (THE CUNT ) neville not do the England team ad watch them Shower ive seen the picks

Rightly or wrongly, I've no idea. The idea they won in spite of him though, nah, if he was that bad, no one would play for him surely. Nor would he keep a coaching staff. He may be a person that rubs folk up, but maybe he also gets the most out of others. Reminds me a bit of the woman who managed GB gymnastics for a while. She got good results, but then the allegations came out and she was ostracised. A fine balance between pushing to maximise talent and bullying. Even Pep can't keep all his players happy! London Wanderer
Christ it is funny reading back. Grown men saying they or someone else 'can't express an opinion', whilst simultaneously expressing an opinion and continuing to express it. Must be hard for us straight white men living under such extreme oppression. Anyway, my understanding of this (and it may be wrong so do correct me) is that he did apologise but the issue is with him pressuring the las to release a statement saying everything was OK. Even though it did make her feel pretty uncomfortable. It was a very, very odd thing to do, even under the circumstances. But strange things happen during feelings of euphoria. Fuck knows how many strangers did awkward shite in the stands after Wilbraham's header against Forest. I don't think he should be forced out over this alone after his apology. Unless it is true that he did put pressure on the player and her family for speaking about how she honestly felt. Think there is a lot of historical stuff at play here as well. Moderators Zico Posted August 26 Moderators Share Posted August 26 Saw the kiss today Had I seen at the time and had nothing been said since I wouldn't have given it a second thought But If she didn't like it, she didn't like it He should've just come out and said sorry, I just got carried away in the moment I think the issue is that pressure has been put on her and others to change their statements and say something else instead like I didn't mind the kiss really That's not on
