So many times we overhit the final ball

0 goals from midfielders, 0 contributions from subs this season, relying on our starting st's and Adeboyejo should score that 100%

Not arsed who scores, so long as someone does.

A points a point I suppose but can’t help thinking that’s two lost, again too many poor performances and our final ball in and set pieces are just woeful. I’m afraid if we really do intend to make the play offs this strike force isn’t it so over to you mr Evatt.

Which is weird given the subs he made.

Only one defensive midfielder, and 2 strikers still on.

We have 5 strikers at the club and only one of them is capable of scoring regularly . Victors hat trick was a blip the goals he scored last season one was a deflection and I think the other was a tap in the guy is crap can’t hold the ball up zero contribution . We need to bring someone in on loan and try to ship one of them out

Managed to get a feed second half. Iredale hopeless, Randell back to Randell. Big Dan favvered a horse on an ice rink. Fack me.

Nice to see us not get completely bullied, maybe helped with the 70% possession but time and time again rubbish passes and punts.

Baxter looked proper again at least

Toal & Forester for Iredale and Jones please.

That was 2 points dropped today, don't give a shit, we're aiming for top 2 and we played bottom of the league today and only managed a draw.

Not good enough.

Also, can somebody please tell me why the fuck Evatt would take off our 2 best strikers and replace them with Nlundulu and Jerome who have how many goals between them?

Bullshit, Victor is fine and working well with Charles,  unlucky with one today deflected by the player and the other a  good save by the keeper, although possibly should have done better. Get the balls into the box he will score goals, as he has shown.

Dan and Jerome though offer nothing at all.

I still think we have several issues but mainly  it's a midfield problem - today's version was giving the ball away cheaply which kept us under the cosh and stifled attacks at birth. Strikers got nothing to feed off first half and very little clear cut (bar Victor's) in the second. It's tricky to score when they're pushed back and defending deep - that's when we need the decent delivery and killer through balls that were also missing today - but in that first half when they had the high press we should have been playing through them instead of giving them the ball.

We only started playing after they scored. Decent point really.

I know you are teeing yourself up for an evening but come on that’s bollocks and you know it. I’m referring to the 2nd sentence for clarity

Jerome held the ball up far better than victor the centre half resorted to throwing himself to the ground to get free kicks no need when victor was on the guy puts no press on them .
The guy does nothing can’t play with is back to goal no pace can’t head when given a one on one today from 5 yards out shouldn’t have given the keeper  a chance . If you can tell me what he does well would love to here it

He was playing with back to goal fine first half and held it up, their defence were all over him holding him back. He got on the end of two balls in the box, and was unlucky not to score. He should probably have buried it, but that is also taking away from the keeper. They happen. If you are starved of service then at this level when most strikers need more than one attempt you will struggle to score.

Far from our biggest problem

It was a must win game and we didn’t win. Does that mean it’s season over (despite being third in the league)? I’m confused.

I’d say it’s a sign we won’t do the job. It’s early days. I’m genuinely worried we will get battered next week though

I am a little concerned about next week, I have to say. But let’s see where we are with Santos and Toal before I make any predictions. Could do with them fit, so we can give Iredale a rest.

The season is indeed long and a marathon. But the more and more points we drop early on in the season, the more demanding and work we will have to do late on.

To get top 2 90+ points, we need consistency, like Ipswich and Plymouth last season who were there nearly all season.

At least the over confident brigade will dampen down their unrealistic’piss the league ‘ expectation.

Better the flaws appear now rather than later , some January tweaking may be required or better still before the end of September.

"Give Iredale a rest". He's played 4 games??
