Another team we are long overdue beating. Remember them relegating us a few years ago, usually is a miserable affair!

We need to win this and make use of home advantage. Another huge crowd, but time for the players to show up. Think it will be tight but a loss and then that's 3 losses in the last 4 and things will turn sour quickly.

The problem with our lot is you don’t know what teams going to turn up. We haven’t looked good lately that’s true but hopefully that can change on Saturday and we can get back to the quick passing team of the opening weeks. If we can do that we can beat anyone in this league and last night we held a really good Boro side for over 90 minutes, so things aren’t that bad. An early goal on Saturday and who knows? 😉

My thoughts exactly. The Burton result was fairly predictable (I said in that thread if we conceded first we'd struggle), this one has defeat all over it.

Hope I'm wrong.

Fuck it, 5-0 to Ian Evatt's Super White Army.

1-3    Derby fresh after no midweek game us knackered after playing a championship team.

I get what you're saying but I don't necessarily follow this belief.

Sometimes the team that plays mid week is less rusty and more up for it.

Plus our starting XI last night had just 4/5 first teamers that usually start our league games.

No excuses, we were embarrassed on our patch last time against our bitter rivals. Time for the players to have a real response and not the half arsed one against Burton.

evatts form against the top sides suggests another defeat

bookies have this priced wrong again like wigan, north of 2/1 derby

I don't think Derby will bring the intensity that Wigan did so that would be a plus. They obviously had  a belting result at Peterborough last weekend and do have players that can cause problems for us, especially with Santos out and defence having a wobble. Toal being back is excellent news and Forrester looks like he could be a tidy signing.

Head says 1-1 heart says we'll nick it 2-1.

have we been told santos is actually out?

Evatt playing cards close to his chest. If he is out might be back for Reading.

Toal came through his first of the season well and agree Forrester looks decent. If Santos is fit would play Toal instead of Iredale, probably too much to replace Jones with Forrester.

Evatt wasn't giving a timescale, so I'd be very surprised if he figures on Saturday.  Think this could be tight 1-0 either way, got to take that chance when it comes...

Like our defeat to Wigan and Port Vales to Barnsley I wouldn’t read too much into Posh’s heavy defeat against Derby, they seem to have a habit of collapsing as we know from last year and the beating at Wednesday. Things can just go right or wrong on the day and from the Rams thread they seem to have as weak a midfield as we do and also a questionable defence. I don’t think they’re anything special and if the team from our first 3 games turns up there’s no reason we shouldn’t win this and I’m confident we will.

Someone on Derbyways suggesting they've sold "over 2000"

Derby Fans Forum says they’ve just sold out the lower tier (3k) with upper tier seats now on sale from yesterday……

Thought Derby would be bringing close to the full allocation.

unless the protest over being a tier A game is actually sticking

This is now a big game & probably always was.

Win and 4/1/1 is a very good start which we should all be delighted with.

Draw isn’t a disaster given the opposition and neither is a 3/2/1 start, although not as good as we had all hoped for a week or so ago.

Loss IS a disaster - 3 successive home defeats in all comps & 4 without a win. Being without a game next week due to internationals could easily put us mid-table at 5PM.

We must not lose this game.

Take this as light hearted in the right spirit....but you had that Wigan were going to be put back in their box, and that if we couldn't beat injury ravaged bottom-of-the-table-for-a-reason-Burton we don’t deserve to consider ourselves as realistic contenders 😆  We didn't deserve to win either of those but now you're expecting to beat Derby who are the in-form away team of the division not to mention one of our bogey teams?

I hope we beat them or at least a good game and a draw, but I'll see what Saturday throws up.  As you say, things can go right or wrong on the day, it doesn't always have to be built up as a season defining game.

I'll start worrying the day you predict anything other than a win - truth is, none of us have a clue!

In the old days Bolton's bogey team used to be Bristol CIty.Now every other match is against one!

I wonder if anyone considers us a bogey team?  West Ham in the Prem days definitely.

In this league we always beat Lincoln, Fleetwood and Shrewsbury at home.

Only other one I can think of is Charlton, can't remember ever losing many to them, aside from them relegating us in 83.
