Agreed - those April games when you can almost touch promotion are very jittery, I feel like our best chance of "routine" wins are before it gets too close to the end (same applies to every team of course).  

The promotion season under Parky was painful in April before we got over the line in the last 2 games - those consecutive 1-0 defeats at Scunthorpe & Oldham and two 0-0s in front of expectant crowds v Chesterfield & Bury.  And plenty jitters in April in our last  promotion season under IE - Colchester, Newport, Harrogate, Grimsby, Carlisle, Exeter etc - what a long month that was!  Get the points in the bag in Feb/March when it doesn't seem quite so crucial and the crowd is less edgy.

If you then consider that Matheson is on loan somewhere and both Johnston and Nlundulu are out for the season, that's a very strong L1 squad.

Our big squad only counts when Evatt and folk want to say how mint it is and that it is by far the best ever.  You cannot and will not use this to then justify our squad should be able to cope with the games

It can 'cope' but ideally you want everybody as fit as possible

I thought with the numbers we may 'go with what we have' and play shrewsbury but losing collins, sheehan, toal and charles when we are already playing midweeks prob isnt ideal

They can’t punt it to Monday this time or we’d lose one of the spare midweek slots. Sky have a half 12 Saturday slot for EFL and no Championship games announced yet for that date.

No championship fixtures on 13th April stand out, no 6 pointers between the top 5 etc.  Unless they think Leicester or someone might clinch promotion that day and want to cover it instead of a L1 game. 

Might also be rules about how many times they can show each L1 team given the slim pickings and that us and Pompey have already been on once.

Yes direct in under an hour from King's Cross, also from Liverpool St but they tend to take longer. Cambridge North Station is closer to stadium, about 20 minute walk but have to dodge more cyclists on a poorly lit path. Also no pubs on that route, just a shit hotel bar at the station.
