JDB must be starting that goal doesn’t happen with Vic on

JDB is a more naturally gifted player, and he has shown that he's great for 20 minutes after Vic has softened the defence up for him - but all the evidence suggests JDB can't handle a full 90 otherwise Evatt would start him - and Evatt knows his players.

Whatever the realities are, we're doing pretty well with the selections as they are.

Dunno what's wrong with Forrester, but thankfully Jones was fit. The former may have helped a touch more with some of the aerial stuff, but they stood up and did the job.

Pity about the internationals when on  a good run, but after a couple of tough games, a little break hopefully will do them good.

Absolutely delighted with the response after Carlisle, and if we're up there come January, then maybe the purse strings may be loosened if Evatt feels the need to add one or two, to help complete the job.

Been saying it for months the guy isn’t a goal scorer unless it’s a tap and hold up play is poor never wins a header . Is work rate is excellent as a positive but he isn’t for me and think everyone agrees now

Best win of the season for me that. Really buzzing. Never thought we'd concede at any point, was all about us being able to nick one. Good lad Thommo, not been his biggest fan but nice to see him make a decision to stay with us and then follow that up with some performances, can only see him getting better and better. The balance of the team looks good now. Sheehan is purring around midfield. Another one that has won me over this season. A game that I don't think we would of got three points from last season ...which is becoming another common post game conclusion.

Haway the whites.

Nice to meet @MickyD on the dual carriageway stroll back to the cars . 🥃

Upto around the 60 minute mark thought both teams cancelled each other out

After that we seemed to up the tempo a little, then up steps young George and thundertwats it into the back of the net

Santos must have very big pocket's cause Rhodes has just joined quite a few forwards in there

Good turnout by Blackpool fans but why the fuck would you start a few fisticuffs with your own fans

They really challenged us today and asked the question of whether we were good enough to break them down. Dropped in to a back 5 when we had the ball and nullified our wingbacks completely. For the most part we struggled and it was always going a 1 goal game via a thunder bastard or off someone’s arse.

on the whole they’re a tidy unit without much threat.

Rico was a colossus. His best game for us for a while. Sheehan again critical to everything we do. Difficult to say when he is playing so well but I still do think we missed a trick with Norburn. Not saying he would replace Sheehan, maybe free him up a little but he’s a good player

JDB changed the whole situation up front. There weren’t many occasions but when there were he made it stick. Completely different level to Victor. Serious questions will need to be asked soon because if we hadn’t paid money for him he wouldn’t be getting a sniff. Surely that’s the only reason at this point?

on the whole a great 3 points, fantastic to get the big attendance monkey off our back, you could see at the end the players almost felt that too and always nice to fuck them right off

Good 3 points today and gets us back up with the top two so it’s a test of squad depth now till hopefully reinforcements in January.

Came away thinking though that if they had given it a better go we may have been in trouble but can’t complain it’s a long season.

Nope still you and Radcliffe. Last 5 or 6 games his hold up play has been good and he has created a good number of chances, plenty Dion has squandered. Hard to say if today's goal happens with him on the pitch but he isnt selfish, so similar position he lays that off as bod did.

He isnt someone who will create his own chances granted, but we don't play to his strengths,  the one game we did he scored a hattrick.

I do think we will need to upgrade if we get promoted,  but you have a huge issue with him and can't wait to jump on any negative to try and prove your point.

Good performance, good game with some quality. Really like Maghoma. Super goal. Really pleasant afternoon.

I like watching him

Gets hold of the ball and does well getting it up the field

And looks good doing it

Sorry he’s poor very poor

JDB did more in his first 10mins than he did all game but like many others will cruise along in this division as it’s a poor standard

Got a big smile on my face tonight and suspect most Bolton fans above about 45 feel something extra to the normal joy of a home win.

Loads has been said about the game and the performance, the momentum we're building and the league table. Agree with it all.

There's also been a fair bit said about a win in front of a big crowd in a home match at last.

All that stuff is significant but to me, recording our first win over a traditional Lancs rival (don't count Fleetwood, Morecambe, Salford, Accy) feels like yet another milestone moment in the comeback from the Anderson debacle. It also feels like the club have partially made up for that fiasco v Wigan in August.

Worth saying we keep up this incredible 37 year/15 league and cup match unbeaten home record v Blackpool. Now for trying to end our 46 years without a win at Bloomfield later in the season.

Onwards and upwards. Chuffed.

What a goal by Tomo, and great to grind our that win in front of the big crowd. Didn't play at our best but still deserved the win on balance. Blackpool hit the post early on (which looked offside to me) but then didn't really threaten whereas on a bit of an off day we still hit the post on Williams free kick, had the scramble after Williams shot, Vic missed the ball from that cross about 6 yards out, Bod had a near post flick chance, Dion had a 1 on 1, plus the goal. Well deserved in terms of chances.

Only negative/positive - the ball doesn't stick with Vic and Charles up front, whereas the moment Bod came on that changed. Surely we need to be moving to a Bod/Charles partnership soon? Then use Vic as the impact sub
