Some positivity that!

Not expecting a result of that magnitude- Blackpool was a freak result for them- and they do score goals, so a draw would be a decent result.

A draw would be a great result, just dont lose, like at Oxford.

The team for Monday, I expect Vic to start with Bod as a 70ish minute sub but questions over Iredale or Randy at LWB...I don't mind, they're both good at this level

& in midfield, Sheehan & Thomason are undroppable on current form which leaves just one place for either Maghoma or Dempsey who are both too good to leave out !! Tricky, but I'd pick Dempsey who's a bit more of an all rounder but it'd be very hard on Maghoma.

I'm wondering if Evatt will be cautious or go for it. Personally I think we should keep faith in our first choice back 3 and attack them which would probably mean Williams over Iredale but as you say picking the midfield is tricky - but what a great problem to have! Difficult to think back to a time when we had so much quality competition for midfield places.

Assume they'll be doing the video analysis of Pompey to death and then pick the midfield based on that.

I have a feeling he'll stick with his regular midfield 3, but I wondered at the slight possibility of replacing Sheehan with Dempsey. Purely for a touch of extra physicality, away at such a tough place.

Welcome selection headaches.

Much better than previous seasons where selection headaches have been decided by who's the least shit.

Good news about Colby Bishop.

Oxford had one or two out iirc, and did well.

Pompey have been doing ok without him too.

Fingers crossed it works in our favour.

Blackpool hammered these 4-0 last week.

JSL.

Along with bishop being out they had their main midfield man sent off in that game too

Wigan enjoyed the same result against us. It turns out it didn’t mean Wigan were contenders even though at the time we thought maybe they were.

Strange results happen.

Then lost at home to Northampton who Pompey beat 3-0 last Saturday - madness.

it will be close Monday and I predict 1-1

Where would Wigan be without the deduction?

i dont think they'll be far away, fwiw

Just out of curiosity how many do we think Pompey would bring up on Monday if it was at ours.

800/1000 I would go for.

Yes I think they would travel better tbh

I would imagine we will be taking around 7/800 which ain’t too far off.

We are doing well to take that many with Xmas coming up and a cost of living crisis. Hard to justify £150 when you can watch it in your home. Fair play to those bothering.

Agree - fair play to all.

Toyed and toyed with it but the only option I had was Dave’s double decker.

Trying to calculate how much I could have to drink when I would be driving back home around 3AM was too much……

Sad I know but I ain’t travelling 10 hours and not having a drink & I have a Uni run on Tuesday too so staying over was not really an option.

Should really be going but that’s my excuse anyway…..

I’m really disappointed in myself that I’m not going.

Kinell, no need to be disappointed in yourself.

Have to do what's right for yourself overall.

Perhaps on re-reading my post it’s sounds a little over dramatic but we need all the support we can get down there.

I’ll be at the next few aways anyway.

I get what you're saying; but that support was screwed over somewhat by the late change of date.
