Latterly he accepted it wasn't wise, given it turned out to be a break. A few of us did say that we didn't think he should be playing purely because his performance level was simply too low- he was clearly hampered. Iirc, the manager has made reference to getting players back fully fit, and also cocking up with Dempsey. It is also clear that over time, Bid in particular has started to look sharper, and as a result, is getting more time. Don't need to be in contact with anyone to interpret what your eyes tell you. apart from rushing Toal back after the pizza final, and I'm sure he did the same with Santos after his hospital stint
Moderators Casino Posted December 6, 2023 Moderators Share Posted December 6, 2023 needs must, like i said sometimes you play unfit players its risk v reward no point saving toal for a game we dint get to and again, its dependent on the alternatives - and also, the chances of making the injury a whole lot worse wasnt Jones also fooked? All I’m saying is how do you know. Only the manager really knows. No - I'm saying that Evatt is unlikely to start him in big matches and have explained why I think that. Never said he wouldn't be involved at some stage - just not as a starting striker (unless injuries to others make it a necessity) If I had to guess, I'd reckon Dion and Vic will start with Bod and CJ on the bench (unless Dan's injury isn't bad enough to keep him out)

My eyes tell me that Bod has been excellent when he's played, both as coming on as a sub or giving the first choice strikers a rest. (TBH I was surprised at how good CJ was when he came on, running around and closing down like a youngster and then winning a pen - superb effort) Thing is that Evatt has used Bod in specific roles and he's done well in those roles, so why change it when it's working and we're winning? He's the manager, not the fans on Twatter who think they can do a better job of picking the team without seeing the players in training all week. The whole fecking town is OTT with it after decades of "well, I support {input Premier team of your choice} but I do think of Wrexham as my second club". They get 10,000 currently but the whole bloody place shuts down. No idea why. A new M&S 'Just Food' opened at the weekend & it's fckg plastered with Wrexham FC stuff. Wanderlust
TV docs do promote the club though. Burnley had one, Chelsea and Palace had docs about apprentices and there have been others e.g. Macclesfield/Robbie Savage. Our story - and our comeback from the edge of oblivion is more interesting than all of them. Which reminds me, am I being paranoid or does the BBC still refuse to talk about BWFC? Watched FA Cup second round highlights on BBC Player and they banged on about other crap games but we got less than 15 seconds which consisted of "Interesting fact: Bodvarsson is the only Icelander to have scored 2 hat tricks in the FA Cup". The EFL show is no better.

Surely this is what football should be about? The ability of a football team to galvanise the town and community. I think it’s wonderful. Ani
27 minutes ago, Krimzon said: Was it always that or am I stuck in the matrix version of 1977 ? Always been like that. If you think about it you are onside or offside at the time the ball is played, So as long as you are not in front of the passer as the ball is released you are onside. Even with the new rules about a player being 'active' so flag goes up when you get the ball it is the moment of the pass that counts. Jol_BWFC
Need to be nearer the goal than both the ball and the second-last opponent. So, you won’t be offside if your are in line with or behind the ball. https://www.thefa.com/-/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/laws-of-the-game/2023-24/law-11---offside.ashx
