To clarify the photographer thing...

There were two who stepped over the hoardings to take closer picture from on the pitch. It was those two who got called wankers in the black.

The hero that did CPR was nothing to do with it and was applauded when we was with medical staff in corner.

NW corner was frustrating to see medical assistance move around the pitch. I get you don’t want to create hysteria in front of 1000s, but just go across.

One of the flag bearers in the NSL ran over to 2 first aiders in front of me in the ESL. He was screaming at them that something was going on, then fkin lofty of all people starting screaming/roaring at them, they eventually, got off their arses and made their way to the casualty. Everything did seem to be in slow motion. No doubt lots of questions will be asked over the next few days. Fingers crossed for the casualty.

Watching a bloke in a lion costume trying to chivvy them up did add a certain pathos to the whole drama.  Bloke behind us was saying "they (medics) aren't allowed to run to the scene". No idea if that's true but it did seem unnecessarily slow.  Similar incident happened at Burton

The likelihood is they'd keep working on him till he got to resus at A&E.

The posts on twitter/X I've just read don't seem to bode well.

Ive never seen a paramedic show any urgency

I think its all about staying calm and making correct decisions

Usually but not always , depends if there is family in the ambulance . Also only a doctor can pronounce it . and once you start cpr you legally cant stop cpr until its called. .

A photo journalist doing his job shouldn't be called out. I understand it's upsetting but what is he supposed to do?  People where jumping out of windows on 9/11 and the press cameras didn't stop clicking and filming. Doesn't make it right but it's news. Folk in their ivory towers need to think before they post.

They aren't meant to run. Its a case of taking time to assess the situation.

But, to even get to a point where medics where involved was far, far too long imo.

Even the ref with 3000 fans shouting at him was looked dazed. 

Sorry if this is an outsider looking in, and maybe not having all the facts, but the series of events needs serious review, as they were not acceptable imo.

It was more the lack of urgency to even get going.

Took the players to shout at those on west stand side and the crowd shouting at those in east corner. 

Seemed to take forever for them even to stand up and move.

They stopped us outside the east stand to clear a path for the ambulance to come out. You could see them working on the bloke in the ambulance but not CPR.

They parted the crowd for a good 5-10 mintues and nobody could move untill the ambulance moved off.

Totally agree, and not giving anyone any grief- lest anyone who does this for a living. I understand you keep calm, assess; we’re all taught this at first aid… surely though, walk across an empty pitch?

Not been a good week considering Gonzos pal and then this. Sad stuff. Was weird as my old man was calling I thought for an update but I realise it was to check it wasn’t me. Bloody grim for the person who will have been chasing up that chap to see he was ok also

Did you see someone get taken to the ground by the coppers just after the ambulance left? I couldn't figure out what was going on? 

Was weird to hear everyone chanting 'white army' as the ambulance pulled away - but strangely poignant!
