All I got from that 'article' was Belinda Beaver.
Surely not real?

As for last night, Jesus Christ.
Home unexpectedly early from the game, of course to find that telly had timewarped back to god know when.

Gladiators on BBC & Wheel of Fortune on ITV.
Deal or No Deal came back recently and Bullseye is returning soon.
TV companies have clearly run out of ideas.

that happened in the 00s when they re-hashed old shows but starting have celebrities as guests rather than joe public

Had some great prizes though.

Wonder how many winners have still got their boat?

seen a fair few rotting away walking the southern canals a few months ago, reckon a number would have been prizes haha

There's surely great potential for some sort of long-read magazine article tracking down people who won star prizes in 80s television shows and seeing what they did with them 😃

See I'm a mug punter for stuff like that. I must have spent &100s , Dream car giveaway is another, do people actually win??

The same cars keep coming around, maybe the cash alternative is taken.

TBH if it was a choice between a £90'000 super car or £50'000 in cash most people don't need a supercar.

I wonder what the realities are of winning a mansion like the ones through Omaze, what kind of overheads you get lumbered with etc. I'd probably want to sell it but wether you could expect to get a million back for it who knows.

Not that I'd turn down a cut price 750k for it mind 😃

Some of them are multimillion jobs. Council tax alone must be through the roof. Then heating, maintenance etc.

Could rent it out to the government for migrants- that would please the neighbours!

There was an article the other day about a bloke who won a £3m one in Devon or Dorset

Had previously been renting a house in Luton. New house would be no good for work and came with loads of land so probably cost a fortune to maintain

Just because you've got a £3m house doesn't automatically mean you're loaded so wonder how many could afford the upkeep

I'd sell it

Seem to recall the Scouse woman who was the first to win gladiators won some top of the range jeep, but couldn't afford the insurance so flogged it

I reckon most would/do.

Be tempting to live there for a month to see what it felt like though.
