fucking ace that.

No Brits near the podium this year, so hopes all on stage wins (and want Pogacar to beat Vinegaard).

Cav could well end on 36-37 wins.

Reckon Pogacar will be on 16-17 by end of this tour, and could well pass it in the next 5 years or so.

Chris Froome twatted himself up in a training accident in Frnace yesterday. He's had surgery for a back injury.

The story goes that he took his hands of the bars to blow his nose, but was then caught by a sudden gust of wind, and went into a wall.

The story about blowing his nose was from his accident in 2019 when he was on a training ride prior to the Criterium du Dauphine.....

Ah, right. Cheers.

I caught the end of the sport report, so must have missed the initial bit! :)

Is there information about this accident then, it sounds bloody nasty.

They're coming through Carnforth too, good luck navigating that massive pothole outside Aldi

they should leave it in place, and exciting bit of jeopardy, especially if they can make it in the last 100m/200m or so of a sprint finish

They've come over here before, Yorkshire and through the Pennines in 2014.

It was a great couple of days.

I cycled over to watch it.

Anyone watch the cycling around Rivi when the commonwealth games were on in Manchester?

We had a leisurely mooch around, and witnessed a Namibian, who'd come a cropper in not making the left hand turn at the bottom of Sheelphouse Lane.

His lycra was shredded, and almost singed from friction.

Left a yard of skin on the road.

Grim.

Was the mountain biking up that way too?

Remember watching a Scottish lass come off badly

Was just a kid so that’s as far as my memory goes

It was. But in the hills behind R&B school, rather than the roads.

Didn't go up that way, we decided to stick with the road race.
