Blackpool and Huddersfield appear to have done good business and largely all on frees (ignoring the big wages and signing on fees they must have shelled out on most).

Peterborough have lost lots of their well known players and gone down the well worked route of largely bringing in unknowns from non league, in the hope of a big return on 2 or 3.

Cardiff in some sort of financial difficulty?

Wycombe with a huge turnover of players and Orient splashing the cash.

It seems they haven't signed anyone yet and the fans are getting restless at the inactivity (along with having an unproven/cheap manager).  But I'm not sure how the article has them with only one departure, I'm not having it that every player they had in the championship who's contract ended has signed another contract following relegation.  It doesn't seem like the most comprehensive/reliable list.

Blackpool worry me. Some good business there and they weren't a million miles off last season.

Plus a manager who's been there done that etc

Yes I think Blackpool and Huddersfield are the two stand outs to me for signings whilst Peterborough and Lincoln look to have gone the other way and lost really good players for little or nothing at the end of their contracts.

Blackpool s approach seems totally different to ours they have gone experience with the keeper at this level from Wycombe and the Stockport defender  and couple of steady players that have played in the championship and one with a promotion from league one  and the striker on loan from last season ( so they know what there getting there ) players edging 30

I don’t think I would swap our bunch for There’s but ours do seem more of a gamble with the potential of going either way players that haven’t played in league 1 ( but hopefully above this level ) there probably looking sniffing around the playoffs at best .
im hoping if ours come off we’re looking at automatic

I see our set up as now approaching the sustainability that FV said they want.

Not too much spent on young, eager talent that has been researched and watched.

Some of the older ones out of the door.

Wages won't be huge neither, but there is the opportunity for these lads to develop and earn more higher up.

Jack Whatmough linked with Huddersfield good experienced defender.

Had a lot of injuries, according to Wiki didn't play at all last season although that may not be accurate.

Also after Brad Potts, another PNE player, he'd be a great signing, very physical and effective for this level.

Aasgaard left Luton to go to Russell Martin's Rangers, they've lost a few decent players now.

He only joined in Jan, are they that financially fucked?

I think the Norway manager said he wouldn’t get picked playing in League One so he left in January. Plan sorta fell through when Luton got relegated, assume he had a relegation release clause.

I also get that impression despite not knowing the financial details. If all goes well we should already be competitive enough to have an outside chance of promotion again this season, and if it goes really, really well our younger signings will develop into valuable assets.

I think that’s the general idea and if we can get promoted it should increase players valuation again. We need to be up this year no mistakes.

Realistically you're just talking about Gale aren't you?  Warren possibly, but not really expected to make an impression on the first team this season unless I'm misreading that one.

The other signings are either on loan or not in the "young" category, as in not expected to gain in value significantly.

Course we hope they are all great signings, get us promoted and increase their value, but that's the case every season, we were hoping McAtee, Lolos, Forino would have that impact last season irrespective of age.

Warrens 22 isn’t he so older than several of our youth team expected to figure this year so there’s no reason not to expect Warren to be included too. He may start in the B Team but with a view to first team inclusion if he proves himself.

Also thinking about Jesper Ceesay if that gets done - turned 22 six weeks ago. Warren is 22 but in his case it’s partially about taking his chance at a higher level - if he can do that we’ll make money on him.

Apart from the latest signingsI have a feeling Inwood will step it up this year now he’s had a taste of senior football. Maybe Conway too?

Conway was by all accounts very good at Crewe last season. Won all the player of the years etc. he's gonna at least get the opportunity to be in the squad and show what he can do.

Orient just signed their replacement for Kelman, Aaron Connolly who obviously has had his problems off the pitch but Wellens has a knack for getting the best out of written off players.

Barnsley signed David McGoldrick, obviously getting on but a class act.
