Signed for Wigan. Must have something to have made 64 appearances for Pompey in 2 years but only scored 4. Ryan Lowe says they'll coach him to get into the right positions. Not a resounding vote of confidence!

Talented lad who got injured pre season. Came back from injury just as the side was struggling in L1. He scored (v Cheltenham?) and looked too good for L1 but too fragile for English football.

Loan from some German club, broke his foot in preseason game at Leyland against Preston which meant was out til Xmas time, didn’t do much

When we signed Amaechi I remember watching one of those highlight reals of him playing for Arsenal youths and reserve teams.  It was one of the few of those compilations that managed to make him look not very good.  It was fairly accurate.

I don’t know much about Stockport, they might have wanted rid of this guy for all I know, but from a very outside in view I’m convinced that last year was their year to take advantage and get promotion. I’ve got a feeling that they’re not even going to make the play offs this year and will be languishing in mid table - a bit after the lord mayor’s show (we know the feeling).

Could be proved completely wrong and they romp the league but I just don’t think they’re much special.
