TrickyTrotter Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Not really up for football but going to do the Chorley/Fiorentina double this week. https://www.acffiorentina.com/en/news/all/news-men-first-team/2024-07-22/viola-touch-down-in-england Anyone remember our only season in the Anglo Italian Cup in 93/94? 5-0 Home win over Ancona then 3 draws with Brescia (3-3- at Home), 1-1 at Pisa then 1-1 at Ascoli, saw us go out at the group stage. The first final in 1970 was abandoned with Swindon leading Napoli 3-0 in Napoli due to crowd trouble! Quote
TrickyTrotter Posted July 22, 2024 Author Posted July 22, 2024 Well Merseyside is another country. Think we had to qualify out of an English group first. Quote

Aye, Hagi hatrick in the 3-3 and the unforgettable trip to Pisa and the San Marino v England game next day, was a long old trip on a coach to Pisa then onto Bologna for the England game. Moderators Carlos Posted July 23, 2024 Moderators Posted July 23, 2024 A load of phoenix/fan owned clubs wanking each other off. Bury would be well advised to concentrate on their league campaign. Quote

Moderators Carlos Posted July 23, 2024 Moderators Posted July 23, 2024 Yep. Not sure if they won it. But sure, they are in the league they are supposed to be in, mid-table with fucking zero chance of promotion. Meanwhile Bury lost out to not one but two teams from Wythenshawe. Quote

TrickyTrotter Posted July 26, 2024 Author Posted July 26, 2024 Got my ticket this morning. Looking forward to it. Noticed that one block in the away end lower tier is on sale. Expecting there to be a few "away" fans. Quote

boltonboris Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 I'm not going anyway, so makes no odds to me. Hope there's a decent lineup Quote
