What other forums are you a member of?

I'm members of various bwfc groups on Facebook but rarely look at them unless something comes up on my feed when I go on 

I only look at #bwfc on twitter for posts of incidents or goals during a match

unmannedspaceflight is a cracker for keeping up with space missions. Many on there are the actual people remotely driving the rovers on Mars etc. Has kicked off before now on there though when someone tries to mention politics or biology, which are big no-no's.

Did try an experiment a bit back to see if boards could get as mardy as this can; so I thought what's the most innocuous subject I could think of? Stamp collecting! So I went on one and sure enough in the first few posts I read it had all kicked off because someone had not read forum rules about quality of images to upload for appraisal of their stamp, got told off, got back in sweary mode - and it booted off. So it's not just us!

So I tried to think of another; butterflies I thought. And I was right - there was no argy-bargy that I could see, but when they showed the pictures of their annual get together it looked like half a dozen extras from The Hills Have Eyes. Any butterfly seeing them come at it would fuck off sharpish. Probably why their numbers are dwindling (indeed, I have seriously seen fuck all of them round here this summer, so there might be summat in it).

Didn't we invade a banjo playing forum in the States many many moons ago, telling them we were banjo enthusiasts from Burnley 😄

I always assumed, that you were "Fist4Fun" the regular poster on FistmasterMatters. Especially when I sent those used pube-tuggers to a Blackpool PO Box.

pretty much a more controlled version of facebook where people ask questions about certain stains, machines and equipment etc. all very boring.

 

I'm also on one for computer science teachers which is run by the department for education, some of the questions people ask trouble me greatly.
