i guess thats more expensive and anyway, who wants to sit up there

True. If you're casual and just want to go for day, it's better in there. Next to crazy corner, bit of atmosphere etc.

Better than sitting with a bunch grumps in the uppers tiers.

2k away fans, so about 3,500 tickets sold, presumably some have ended up in the hands of Wrexham fans.

Still can't believe the club is kidding itself there's demand for all of South Lower, just give them half of it and be done with it, there's another 6 or 7k plus tickets to go round, its not a play off semi.

We'll have the same nonsense for Wigan & Blackpool games before we just give them more tickets a week before.

cant see them opening SSL

for Wigan and Blackpool

not with there young dick heads above

Silly to open the south Lower hardly any sold in 2 weeks and there’s loads of availability in other stands

Can’t even shift 1200 orient tickets

Shit KO time, absolute toilet of a ground that we played at what seems only a few weeks ago ... and we were awful that day too. Fans still pissed off with the Wembley debacle.

Blackpool can fuck off, they'd rather have 2000 empty seats than sell them to us, so we should reciprocate & give them the bare minimum.

otherwise, if we can sell the SSL to our own fans we should, but i'm doubtful that we'll sell that many more, we'll see, but if not ,we should take the money & sell the remainder to Wrexham & any others who can sell them.

I prefer a full ground & the better atmosphere with plenty away fans......we'd still outnumber them by more than 3 to 1, so if they make more noise than us, it's because we've got a good number of poor, whiny fans (" geddit forward, booooo" ) not because we sold them a few more tickets.

I agree I prefer a full ground too, it makes the game far more of an occasion, even that Carlisle game had a good buzz to it at least in the 1st half.

But not singing doesn't make you a poor fan.  There will be fans who've travelled to the Orients & Plymouths for 30+ years, are they only a good fan if they burst into "Bolton's a shit hole you should have stayed home" and "Bolton are massive"?  Expecting home fans of all ages to behave like its a jolly boys day out on the piss isn't realistic, plenty who go through thick & thin don't have a song in them, it doesn't make them whiny.  Most large away crowds will probably make more noise than us up until the time we are winning, same as when we go away.

I agree, the likes of Cheltenham and Stevenage bringng 250 fans with them make it a non event although the Stevenage fans chanting "Premier League you fucked it up" made me smile at the cheek of them for a few seconds. We were told by one or two on here if  Portsmouth were given 5,000 tickets and made too much noise that might affect the result but despite only being given half the stand their team still stuck one in the back of Baxter's net in the first few minutes

In my opinion that goal was more down to Sheehan messing up and the team being badly organised defensively than the Portsmouth fans singing. Also turning down easy money from a potentail 5,000 away fans prepared to pay top whack doesn't seem good financial sense for a club and ownership that's now entering it's sixth season in a row below Div 2.

all things considered, 20k+ is pretty good

obviously plenty teams will bring less but if we start well and all that reckon we could be pusing 18k-19k each week

that said, just checked and turns out our average was 21,022 last season, thought it would be lower (not forgetting loads don't turn up half the time)

anyway

south lower was great v barnsley so hoping for plenty more of that this season

Some folk on Wrexham ways believing they are the reason we're pulling a 20k plus gate for this one.

Positions above stations springs to mind. They’re even an after thought in wales and would still be clogging around part time in a rotting pig sty if it weren’t for the ongoing “fairytale” will do fuck all of any note this season

Looks like about 100 tickets sold in south lower so needs a push on sales otherwise it will look small time especially when there’s chunks of availability elsewhere

No logic why there would be many in there, its like they've opened it for it to fail and won't need to consider it for future games other than play offs or £10 games.

Its on Sky, on a Sunday in August when many are away, Cat A prices, plenty seats elsewhere in the ground (that aren't surrounded by away fans)...not sure what they expect.

Keep the faith. Will be a rush on yoof tickets in the week leading up, especially if we win at Orient.

Additional Blackpool tickets to go on sale - Stockport County

Blackpool giving Stockport an extra 1,000+ tickets, so they can clearly afford to give more than the 2,000 they gave us last year. All the more reason to give them just the upper tier

We have also been informed that we may receive a further allocation, should these tickets also sell out.

Why don't we make it a proper day for them and give them the hotel, fanzone and Harvesters too.

In fact I'm willing to give up my seat and move to the south stand for this special occasion and let them have all 3 stands if everyone else fancies it.

We should put free coaches on for them too.
