If only we'd spent 300 million pounds on our squad, we might have stood a chance of only losing by 2 goals in the League Cup tonight. Short-term thinking from Football Ventures. Sharon and Evatt out.

I’ve often thought a few of our lads were believing their own hype and tonight will provide some perspective as to where they really stand in the scheme of things. With a bit of luck that will translate into better concentration and effort in the games that really matter.

Aldershot or Arsenal some of them errors was absolute schoolboy stuff can’t excuse them, and to not test a 16 year old goalkeeper was disappointing

not a total disgrace there was some good periods of play and should’ve had a penalty

safe trip back guys

Aye. "You're facking shit" was the Arsenal fans verdict

Solid effort overall against a team that’s in a different stratosphere to us.

Their 2nd, 4th and 5th were just examples of them having far better players than us in my opinion, whereas us gifting them 1 and 3 were annoying and completely avoidable.

Happy for Collins who took his goal very well. Hope Forino’s injury isn’t too bad. Hopefully win the important one on Saturday

Happy that is out the road, decent training session. Two and a half days to get some down time and recuperate.

Get rid of the tippy tappy football and tonight will have been worth it.

The main concern is our wing backs are poor; hope we se no more of Arfield as well

They were up against Saka and Sterling tbf

But harsh to use tonight as any kind of measure for our wing back’s ability - Saka and Sterling will make many Prem wing backs seem poor through the season.

I wonder why Premier League players cost more than League 1 players? It's a real conundrum. 🤔

They were light years ahead of us.

Main concern from tonight is they dragged us all over the place - be some tired legs with Saturday dinner time not far off.

Anyway, win on Sat and tonight's irrelevant.

Must admit there came a point where I was “gerrit in the box” to test the keeper but their midfield completely outclassed us so we never really had the chance

Shite errors need seriously looking at. Doesn’t matter if it’s Arsenal they are still shockingly bad

We had a flurry of corners first half to impose ourselves but so flat, santos dancing in the 6 yard box but doing nowt

Yeh move on and win Saturday.

I’m glad he rotated it. Charles, Vic, Tomo, Matete, Johnston, Schon and Baxter will be fresh for the big game Saturday 😊

And out of the ones who’ll do another 90 Toal and Santos should be ok and I reckon Cogley has the most stamina in our squad.

I agree with this. Hope this makes them roll up their sleeves for the real test v Crawley on Saturday. Anything less than a win there will be poor
