September 1, 20241 yr Popular Post Nah his time to sort it was all summer after Oxford, seen nothing so far this season to see he's learned from the issues since January. Had we been playing well and still coming up short then I'd give him til the October international break but it's been utter tripe.

If we want to go up we need to win a lot of games and whilst it’s still possible the worry is that even when we’ve been in good form with Evatt there is always a bad patch round the corner.

September 1, 20241 yr If he'd have been binned, or walked, in the Summer we'd have always wondered if that was harsh, or a loss. He's been backed with, for us, oodles of money, great backing as ever from Sharon and great support turning up. We now know it would have been harsh. He's learnt f'call and nowt's going to change. I'd have shaken his hand when he lifted his head out of them in the dugout and thanked him for the good stuff.

September 1, 20241 yr By Xmas I think our chances of promotion could be done and dusted with the way things are going so I'd give him one last chance to work on things this international break on the training pitch, see if he can put it right and if things haven't changed against Huddersfield I would make a change. The only issue with that is an international break is the perfect time to make a change and sacking Evatt immediately after one finishes would be a little weird but that's what I'd do. Would love nothing more than for him to turn it around but deep down I don't think he can.

I am in the 5/10 games camp, but 5 is max really. My concern now is the patience and support has gone, so any poor result and fans will get on his and the teams back, even if a good run is put together. That is very hard to repair and so it can't be drawn out

September 1, 20241 yr Gone for the 5-10, but only because it says 5. Wouldn't give him 10, but the lower number. That also gives the club the opportunity to do some research into prospective managers.

September 1, 20241 yr I voted to part company now If voting to give him more time though, it'd surely have to be longer than the next 5 because he needs to prove he can beat the club's expected to be in and around the play-off hunt It's no good giving him the next 5 and then we get beat by Birmingham, Stockport and Rotherham in the next 5
