Keep the ship moving whilst a longer term appointment is found. I love the fella, brown envelopes and everything. But he's definitely slowed down mentally, and having seen various interviews / podcasts with him, comes across to me as yesterday's man. I'm one of the few in the Evatt camp anyway. Give the fella some time. 2 wins from next 2 and we all start talking very differently. I'd love us to go up, but having come so close to going under, I'm genuinely happy to have footy to watch on a Saturday afternoon. Probably doesn't fit the narrative of many on here, but it's my view! No😂 Quote

Dimron Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Only Sam will know if he has enough in his locker to give it a go again. A Big Club like Bolton needs a Big Man to manage it... he strikes me a very fair "man's man" and that how he motivates his young big earners (possibly millionaires). Say what you want about him but he knows how to set up a team, get results using what he has got and points on the board. Quote
Moderators Zico Posted September 13 Moderators Posted September 13 I don't think theres a chance it'll happen but either way I'd just rather not go with Big Sam again First time round was amazing I'll remember him for that Would be shit if it didn't work out a second time Quote

That doesn't mean we can't want for better- and that seems to be the aim of those who saved us. If that's with Evatt then great, if not then that's also fine. One thing's for sure- we can't wait "for ever" for him to succeed. Quote

Roger_Dubuis Posted September 14 Posted September 14 "I've got one of the highest win % as Bolton manager" Not a shock that Bolton win more games in the 3rd and 4th Division than they do in the top two divisions Quote
Members Lt. Aldo Raine Posted September 14 Members Posted September 14 Yes, managerial win percentage without context is a practically meaningless statistic Quote
Popular Post gonzo Posted September 14 Popular Post Posted September 14 He doesn't need to tell us how well he's done. He just needs to say very little and start winning football matches. Quote
Rizlar Posted September 14 Posted September 14 He’s feeling the pressure massive game today he loses this then the knives will be sharpened! Quote

Whitesince63 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 The pressure on Evatt must be enormous at the moment and a loss today could be terminal. Let’s hope the players are behind him and do the job today for all our sakes? Quote

Whitestar Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Its in the book under A. Or it might be down as Big. If he doesn't answer just leave him a message. Quote
Members bolty58 Posted September 14 Members Posted September 14 Surely it's the end? How long do FV need to see the light? We all knew after Wembley. It's only September. The season could still be rescued. Quote
Stig Posted September 14 Posted September 14 We've just wasted a good two week gap to recruit a new manager and give him some time with the players. It's been obvious since Oxford Evatt needs moving on and we're just wasting the season Quote
Campos_Wig Posted September 14 Posted September 14 We need a new manager with fresh thinking and ideas. Thanks Ian but your time is up Quote
