We've just wasted a good two week gap to recruit a new manager and give him some time with the players.

It's been obvious since Oxford Evatt needs moving on and we're just wasting the season

In truth, we've wasted four months

And probably also a season

I can't understand the people saying he's given us great times?

We got promoted in 3rd from a dreadful level of football that no one was there to see.

We lost almost every single big league game he's been in charge of. Won a trophy that other EFL teams nye on boycott every year and haven't beaten a local rival in his entire tenure.

There haven't been good times, there's been expectations met, barely.

A completely unscientific way of looking at who may come in to the frame if/when Evatt gets sacked is to look at out of work managers whose most recent club was at Championship level. If nowt else it throws up interesting names:

Michael Beale, David Wagner, Valerian Ismael, Tony Mowbray, Alex Neil, Gary Rowett, Gareth Ainsworth, Ryan Lowe, Leam Richardson.

Some of them may be interesting, some I wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

There are other methods: Up and coming managers in a role in League 1 or League 2 or a manager from abroad.

It'll be a popular vacancy!

Thoughts on evatt.

League 2 / bottom half league 1 manager

Had a fair few cards fall his way and been backed well by the club

Lost his 2 biggest games in the semi and final, both absolutely out smarted, not even a shot on goal in the final (how many other managers would still have a job after a semi ans final defeat)

He's to predictable and now to easy to setup against, he's still a young manager and learning but we haven't time now to let him learn on the job

He's firmly reached his celling and it's now time for both parties to move on

Not Christmas then?

Was going to put a laughing emoji in there but I’m far from jovial tonight.

You’re right there’s no coming back from this.

Absolutely not, I think it's 13 wins in 37 or summut?

We're in the bottom 4

It's time to move on tonight

Yeah, unfortunately.

I know how daft it may sound given we do have a talented bunch, but there's more than one way of getting out of this division.

We really don't want to be spending too long at the arse end of this league.

Just in case.
