I wasn't looking forward to this game this week. Not had this feeling for a long time. System has been sussed. Press, harry, compress the wings, wait for the mistake and attack. We need to grind out a result somewhere, a boring draw perhaps. Invite the opposition to attack and to see if we can press and counter attack them. Systems out the window and choose an eleven to battle like hell. Managers like Greaves, Allardyce and Rioch were masters at this. Also, crossing and set pieces are dire lets start from there.

We're Basically playing with 2 teams. 8 in one half and 3 in the other. Not got a clue what he's trying to acheive with this 2 man midfield malarkey.

And the division was very weak last year so we could, and did, full our boots against a lot of dross.

Far more good teams this year so I expected the struggle, but we've regressed on top of that

We're never getting Potter, hughton could be a possibility, Appleton, critchley don't excite me and beale is too inexperienced. But I like that you're looking for options and posting sensible names

Some thing interesting for you guys, since Aaron Morley went to Wycombe Wanderers and has played each match, they're unbeaten (2 W, 1D, 0L), ps Kieran Sadlier also plays and starts for them.

I'm not watching it back, but at the time it looked nailed on that the striker got in behind Forino and he brought him down.  I thought there was an identical incident in the 1st half involving Santos but the ref wierdly gave us a free kick.  We weren't going to get away with it twice.

Back 3 plus Johnston for sure, otherwise their right wing back (blonde lad) was bigger than half our team. As with sides like Ipswich, who had tall, strong units even in the WB positions, Huddersfield just bullied us on too many occasions. Third goal a classic, our flapping and flailing attempts to clear it were piss weak as their lads kept knocking us about

The other baffler was McAtee, it was a low bar at Barrow but he was the best of our forwards, kept working, showing and trying to make things happen all night and deserved his goal. What Evatt expected of Charles up against Helik was truly ridiculous.
