Remember being on our way to the bus and missed a last minute Per Fransen freekick. Only thing i can remember about the game.

This has brought back memories. Might be an exaggeration but I seem to remember this free kick being 35 yards and smashed right in the top corner.

Back to present, this game against Huddersfield is huge. A bad result and the hone support will properly turn and then there's no way back for Evatt.

Funnily enough, the 2-2 against Huddersfield was amidst what felt like about a dozen home games without a win, and Allardyce was under mounting pressure…

Can't see anything other than a defeat

Hope I'm wrong

It'll be typical BWFC... down and out, no hope in sight and we get a big win!

Bastards have messed with my head for over 50 years 🙂

Had Gudjohnsen on the back of mine, great period of supporting the wanderers. As said didn't give a hoot about the off field stuff as too young to give a shit and every thing wasnt on the internet and being dissected 24/7

Really hope we win this. I have one of their lot hovering like a vulture to stick the boot in (the same one I ribbed for years about them only being able to afford 3 sides to their stadium).

Still, there is one thing which winds him up beyond all others. A poster which goes up annually in Huddersfield railway station "Leeds United Season Tickets On Sale Now". If things go awry for us in this one I will make a point of asking him did it happen again just before this season started.

It’s a perfect storm for Evatt and the team, probably one of the toughest fixtures of the season on the back of some poor results.

I hope and pray we get the win because the pressure is building for change and I for one don’t want it to end this way.

I think it is a good game for Evatt, if we win it takes the pressure off massively. If we lose it maybe moves things on.

We need a good result to get everyone* back on board.

* not including those who want to see us fail to say 'I told you so.'

Who wants to say I told you so?

No one wants that.

Folks only want him gone if he’s not gonna change his ideas, and we keep losing ground. It would be a massive gamble as we have no idea what the next bloke would be like.

Surely we all want to win our next 10 games and piss the league under him.

At the end of the day, we want success for our football club and if anybody wants us to lose a game, they’re a bellend.

He won't go even if we lose. He's not even near being under pressure. We've had a rough start but we have time to turn it around.

I don't even think it's a must win. Plenty of time left yet. Sharon doesn't strike me as the trigger happy type. she's calm and collected and won't panic.

The game is a great opportunity for IE. Its not a "must win" on paper like it would be if we were playing a bottom half team at home. This game looks to be at least as difficult as any of the games IE has failed to win in last couple of years so if we do win its a double boost. Stopping the non scoring/losing run in the league and showing he can beat a promotion contender, all in one day! A draw probably does little either way but a win or loss would be significant.

Easy to say but if the fans turn, managers don't normally last long.

The optics are terrible for starters and not what an owner could do with with investors in the shadows.

That east stand goes in full view of the board it's curtains.

Correct.

No-one wants him to lose & if he makes people like me eat my words ... then pass the cutlery.

I just don't see him doing it. I recall believing we should have potted Coyle at the end of the Semi-final season. Not doing cost us.

There's never any knowing but that's my thought.

Can I screenshot my season ticket and send it to a mate?  I'm away for this and Reading and forget to give him my season tickets.

They should've sent a QR code/digital ticket to your email

On the face of it a difficult game, whether Duff is on touchline or not we tend to struggle against his teams. Not a definer for Evatt though, unless it's an absolute pasting, I don't see Sharon et al panicking and pulling the trigger unless we're still bumbling along in bottom third after a dozen games or so.

Fans need to get behind players from the off and create an atmosphere Hudds don't like, though it's a two way street and Evatt / players have a responsibility to give them something to feed off, a start with pace, tempo, a few strong tackles. Far too often our own approach has killed the atmosphere stone dead within quarter of an hour
