And it’s not a correct stat so yes a face palm is more than worthy

Fair if so. My apologies. I’m not looking at Wycombe stats for many reasons

Well sadlier signed for Wycombe last year. Wycombe were hardly amazing. And if you think Morley is the answer to our problems then you should probably start watching another sport.

Wow you really are special...

That isn't the point, at all. The point is that these are players written off by our manager as not good enough, who are currently playing for a team higher in the league than us.

This is one of many things that calls into question so much.

Sadler played literally a full season and ended up behind us. Morley has played 2 out of the 3 unbeaten games (1 win and 1 draw) hardly fucking world beaters are they.

He'd give us the option of a decent set piece at least

The other baffler was McAtee, it was a low bar at Barrow but he was the best of our forwards, kept working, showing and trying to make things happen all night and deserved his goal. What Evatt expected of Charles up against Helik was truly ridiculous.

Injury prone JDB has scored as many league goals from open play at home in the last 12 months as Charles (last game was Pompey mid April).

It must be all that other stuff that Charles brings to the team that keeps him as first choice.

Yet in this time period, our players who were judged as BETTER than them have lost 3 league games in a row.

And in last years time period the players we have did better than sadlier and Morley. What should we do just keep everyone on the books? You’re comparing 3 games to over 30 games. Talk about fkin simple

Speaking of which.... Bodvarsson is still without a club. If we're going to persist in 3 up top he'd be better than anyone we have in the central striker role

Sadlier was an unused sub

Been surprised by the start Oxford have made this season, but then I read they've brought in something like 15 new players over the summer.

Fair play.

The bastards 😄

Its about having a good manager to get the best out of them though.  Kioso played the full game today and I wouldn't even say I'd want him here in L1, looked as bad as Williams for Posh last season.  Its about systems and being organised, one look at us this season and nobody can accuse of us having a set plan can they?

I'm quoting you mate because you've mentioned systems.

But this is a genuine question for anyone who can help, not a dig at the manager.

Our formation, 3-4-3 is it ?

What are the 4 meant to be ?

Now bear in mind I'm quite old, so 4 in midfield to me used to mean 2 lads in the middle who could get about the pitch and 2 wingers/wide men.

What are our lads meant to be ?

I'm thinking more about the 2 out wide here.

Again, this is a genuine question, I don't think I know better than the manager or anyone else on here, far from it.

The patterns of play are too predictable now. Teams have two full seasons of film on us playing this exact way. There's a fucking Des Buckingham video on YouTube on how to beat us. the personnel might change but it's same ponderous style. No width, no midfield runners. It's like 11 fucking robots. Easy to defend against.

We've not scored a goal in three league games, created fuck all, and conceced 8.

It's a fucking shambles and needs sorting.

Our 3-4-3 is just a renaming of our 5-3-2, all that he's done is move 1 of the middle 3 forward a bit and the 2 on the wings are wing backs, rather than normal wingers.

No he wouldn't.

I think the players are good enough and i think the bulk of them could play at a higher level, i think IE gets the worst out of them.

Morley and Sadlier couldn't get a look in with us and rightly so they LOOKED terrible, they join Wycombe and boom Wycombe are unbeaten in 3 games.

Evatt's primary target last year was Baccus, what's he doing now sitting on the bench at Cambridge because he can't get in the team.

Evatt is the issue. Not the players.

I'll agree to disagree on that.  Baxter of course championship standard.  Matete is our best outfield player IMO but he's not our's, this year's Maghoma.  Collins could probably make a go of it, the other strikers not a chance.  Wingbacks nearer to L2 than Championship.  CBs could probably have a chance (just not as a unit).  If the "bulk of them" were a team in the championship, it would be embarrassing IMO, and then IE makes them worse with the bizarre tactics.
