Last time we played at Leeds Road I went with a heavy cold, watched us draw, and then rushed to hospital on getting home with pneumonia, i think it were the football that finished me that day

Surprised I didn’t get pneumonia last time I went there. Midweek night and it threw it down all game then the coppers locked us in for ages at the end just so that we could get wetter and the locals could arm themselves with house bricks to greet us exiting the ground

1-0 courtesy of a Trevor Morgan toe bunger from what looked like miles out from the away end

I recall being kept in and the bricks greeting, and a big away following on the open end, just don't remember getting pissed wet through. Maybe I just expected it in them days it happened so often.

That Morgan goal was a thing of beauty, a flowing move started by Browny in our half. If anyone can find a clip of it, it's worth watching, IIRC!

Weren't it leeds road when 1 lad climbed up the floodlights?

Yes. Everyone lost interest in the match (not difficult).

Always had it in my mind that it wasn’t dissimilar to this

Searched for years for a clip but never found one

10 years since my mate passed, this will be 11th walk, which means pub crawled 90 miles

Numbers have dwindled over the years, but any spares going that I can swap at ticket office so friends and family are all together would be greatly appreciated

Oh, and I can only remember one win this weekend in past 10 years! Craig Noone scored the winner and have his shirt to Mavers mam

Top lad for that

Do you need a spare?

I do not remember this game.

Or that kit

If I remember rightly it was an emergency 3rd kit pulled together mid season when both our home and away kits clashed with someone.

Couldn't buy it at the Happy Shop

Was at that, and it was wank

My only visit there

That Prince lad played in defence and was shite after a few early promising displays

Had some good days at Huddersfield away.

That one first season back down when Eagles and Mark Davies scored was a good atmosphere, and another when Pratley scored and dived into the piled up snow behind the goal, we took absolutely loads to that, people stood in the aisles and all sorts.

I’ve got it in my mind that was our official away kit in my last season as a ST holder when I was still doing K’n’Fs. Wasn’t the emergency kit the grey 3rd kit the previous season. When the bloke fell out of the Leppings Lane stand after Mark Davies goal?

Could be wrong

2012 -2019 is a massive blur with the exception of a few games. Think i underwent some kind of self-imposed amnesia.

You are correct it was this season I was thinking of.

That period was fucking grim. Dragging my kids there through that period was like child abuse.

People in the present day lose all kind of perspective. The way some go on you’d think we’d been a bag of shit for 4 years, with dwindling crowds and no entertainment.

Despite this tricky spell I’m looking forward to Saturday. You know there’s going to be a big crowd. And there’s a good chance we’ll see some good football and a win, 3 things that were in short supply for nearly a decade previously.

Alan Hutton man of the match if I remember right. Pretty sure we were a shite mid table team that season.
