Midweek night and it threw it down all game then the coppers locked us in for ages at the end just so that we could get wetter and the locals could arm themselves with house bricks to greet us exiting the ground 1-0 courtesy of a Trevor Morgan toe bunger from what looked like miles out from the away end Quote

Maybe I just expected it in them days it happened so often. That Morgan goal was a thing of beauty, a flowing move started by Browny in our half. If anyone can find a clip of it, it's worth watching, IIRC! Quote

Marc505 Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Had some good days at Huddersfield away. That one first season back down when Eagles and Mark Davies scored was a good atmosphere, and another when Pratley scored and dived into the piled up snow behind the goal, we took absolutely loads to that, people stood in the aisles and all sorts. Couldn't buy it at the Happy Shop I’ve got it in my mind that was our official away kit in my last season as a ST holder when I was still doing K’n’Fs. Wasn’t the emergency kit the grey 3rd kit the previous season. When the bloke fell out of the Leppings Lane stand after Mark Davies goal? Could be wrong Kitnoncery Edited September 12 by MancWanderer Quote
radcliffe white Posted September 12 Posted September 12 The night game the season we won the league was ace and holdsworth scored a beauty in a 3-2 win another time And Birch lasted about 10mins on another visit before getting ejected😀 Quote

Think i underwent some kind of self-imposed amnesia. That period was fucking grim. Dragging my kids there through that period was like child abuse. People in the present day lose all kind of perspective. The way some go on you’d think we’d been a bag of shit for 4 years, with dwindling crowds and no entertainment. Despite this tricky spell I’m looking forward to Saturday. You know there’s going to be a big crowd. And there’s a good chance we’ll see some good football and a win, 3 things that were in short supply for nearly a decade previously. Quote
