You enjoy your day watching Soccer Saturday š We are Bolton Wanderers fans not bloody Ian Evatt fans and we will all be here a lot longer than any manager or set players. Just when I thought we had our core support back on track, this week have reminded me what a bunch of fickle, dramatic and faux outraged set of soft arses we have amongst our fanbase.Ā Ā It's actually embarrassing and exactly what I've been fearing all summer. Nobody wants whats going on, everyone probably thinks it's time for change. The results are terrible and the performances worse.Ā But is boycotting or waving bedsheets about the way out of it?Ā Or we better cracking on and supporting our club through thick and thin, digging deep and keeping our heads held high knowing we did all we could? Our fans have been absolutely superb over Evatts tenure. Let's not spoil it now. To be fair priorities change. I didnāt enjoy either of the last two games and it wastes a full day.Ā Ā yes we are Bolton fans and we back them. I have done plenty of that in my time.Ā

DaveTheRave
I'm praying we get the first goal early on. If we don't the atmosphere will get worse by the minute and if they score it's probably going to be toxic. 3-0 Collins, Adeboyajo, Dempsey. Come On You Whites!!! meanderson93
Football fans are a weird bunch aren't they, dragging themselves out to a game out of some perceived sense of loyalty or duty.Ā It's an entertainment business, and if I'm not enjoying the experience either because the football is shit or they aren't winning then I'll probably not go. Simple as that.Ā

gaztruman
I say we back the team on Saturday. No booing at half time (whatever the score). Let's see if that works instead of booing after 3 games.Ā White army.Ā
meanderson93
Perhaps a bit of a reductive statement.Ā My point is, I want to be entertained by the team I support, I want to like the players and manager. I don't do all of that blindly though, and if I feel like going to the game would serve no purpose other than get me feeling irate and resentful, then I just won't bother.Ā And, if nothing else, it's a vote with my wallet that I don't agree with how the board are handling a situation.Ā

Entertainment business my hairy arse. It's way more than that. Whilst I agree with what your saying - we don't go to games to see nice football and judge our day out on how well set pieces were executed or how many shots on goal - I think most of us have been in a situation of taking a mate or a family member to a game, and you want them to enjoy it and be enthused.Ā I've lost count of the number of folk I've got tickets for and I feel responsible when its a miserable experience.Ā I've got a spare ticket for Reading and I'm not even going to offer it around, for one I can't be arsed and secondly I want to take folk when I think they might enjoy it, and that's not happening currently.Ā So yes its more than an entertainment industry to us, but not everyone that potentially turns up to games thinks the same way, they don't have blind loyalty, its the equivalent of me going to a cricket or rugby match, if its crap I won't go again for a long time.
