CambridgeBWFC Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Get in, 3 points & a clean sheet. Not pretty at time but well organised and disciplined display at the back. Ref was shocking and could easily have had a few more. Onwards and upwards Quote

And I’m not sure that performance is winning us games against better sides. But if that’s what winning looks like moving forward, then bring it on 👏👏 A short turn around after Arsenal away- maybe a worldy performance was unlikely, but a functional win more than acceptable. woolli Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Great 3 points. The ref was an utter twat, against a set of cynical dirty bastards! Quote
Greg_BWFC Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Generally we were pretty awful but we defended really well I thought and they never had a clear chance on goal. Just need to build on this and the confidence will slowly return. Quote

Popular Post paulhanley Posted September 28 Popular Post Posted September 28 There's some of the lost credit been won back today there, no doubt about it, more so than last week. A clean sheet, resilience and a willingness to scrap against a pretty physical opponent, playing against 12 men (!) and a very quick turnaround from the Arsenal match on Wednesday. There are still big questions to answer for the club and team, chiefly performances against top end sides in the division and derbies. However that's for another day. Given the misery of recent weeks its probably the moment to wallow in a good result before moving on to Northampton and hoping for similar. I was among the many who had become exceptionally fed up with Evatt. I still am to a large degree. But fair play he's bought himself a bit of time. We need to keep it going now though, no real latitude for dropped points. Quote

Farrelli Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Very good second goal. I thought we had forgotten how to scrap for the points so that is the most pleasing thing. Quote

London Wanderer Posted September 28 Posted September 28 8 minutes ago, Cheese said: That will fucking do. Damn right pal Loved watching that. Happy to adapt and concede possession, going a bit more direct when needed. Stayed focused and 100% switched on for the full game and even saw a bit of shithousery when needed. There's a great chance now with this run of fixtures of being close to Brum by the time we play them. A lot of improvement needed, particularly in the big games, but great effort and discipline today. Quote

jmjhb Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) Cracking away performance. No complaints from me. That's the 'reactive' performance I've been talking about since last season. Crawley played like we normally have done of late, and despite performing better, got beaten comfortably. Edited September 28 by jmjhb Quote
