Only just realised that it’s a half 12 kick off after playing Arsenal away midweek. Very quick turnaround. Does that alter team selection for the cup game or do we go full strength? 
 

I think they probably all deserve a chance to go up against one of the country’s big boys but it can’t go costing us against Crawley.

I don't think were anything like Awful. Controlled the game, executed the obvious gameplan well and could have been a bigger scoreline

Santos best game for some time- back 3 we’re all excellent. Still feel Schon was MOTM and after a few dodgy performances he was outstanding 

Won a game that pre season would have expected to win.

Performance was Parky like in terms of getting the job done. 

Thought Big Vic struggled, Dion seemed to have the beating of their defence but until front two were swapped we struggled to get any ball forward. Good to see Captain Legohead in the refs ear, something Santos from centre half struggled to do. 
 

Not sure how just kicking a bloke off the ball is only a yellow, no one could complain if it was a red.

MOTM hard to call lots of 7/8 out of ten performances but probably Santos or the cake at left back. 

Must be the first game in a long time that we haven’t made a stupid mistake at the back.

This. A great away win against a handy side. According to BBC only 30 % possession.

This must have a surprise for them.

All those dropped points in the past where we had 65% possession and more. Makes you wonder.

Very good result, but the most encouraging thing is we're showing a bit of fight finally. Not the soft pushovers we have been for the last couple of years. 

Only one game mind, need to keep this kind of win at all costs mentality going.

Great to have options off the bench though will be a challenge to keep them all happy. 

Especially as we've still got Lolos & CMG to come back in.

Can't see them all staying fit at the same time for the rest of the season.

Do wonder where CMG and Lolos fit in, unless it's as the more advanced of the 3 in midfield (ie. The Dempsey role)

To be fair we did the same a year ago to the day.  Many parallels coincidentally - coming off a poor run of results, away at relegation candidate (Port Vale).  1st half goal effectively the winner, Charles having a cracking 1st half, clean sheet, a bit backs to the wall 2nd half without ever feeling like they'd have enough to score, 2 strikers came on to strengthen us last 25 and see out the game (Dan started at Vale, Vic injured).  

A nice bonus today was that outstanding 2nd goal, great move, great finish.   Lovely 3 points, mid table finally.

A bit of fight and Santos apparently running the line are good signs but the question should be have we learnt anything from it.

Not really. We have a very easy run up till the Birmingham game. The kind of games we should be winning and generally did last season. It's the big games starting with Birmingham when we'll know if anything has really changed

2 weeks ago we wouldn't have beaten the blind school. 

We could barely string two passes together and looked completely shot at.

No complaints clean sheet at last Santos back to his best 30% possession who cares! 

Even though he didn't score, Dion was back to his best which is good to see.

Funny how people see things differently. I thought Schon did well for the goal but otherwise wasn’t anything special. Got done a couple of times defensively. Santos played very well, I agree.

Sorry, should have made clear I thought we were pretty poor on the ball a lot, just my opinion,(scored 2 fantastic goals mind).

As you said above, kept them at arms length with strong defence- long may that continue 👍

Two goals to the good , clean sheet , despite only 30% possession we could have scored five.

He did get done a couple of times, but that happens, there more incidents where he got in and won the ball and set us forward. The second goal best example.

I do not join in the pile on that JDC gets at times but he is a lot more passive in defence. Schon was much than he has been today. 

If we can now start to keep clean sheets and get a couple of goals in the next 3 games we r back on track still think 2nd place will be up for grabs once Wrexham run out of steam

I would have put Collins on for Victor after 60 minutes to give him a bit of time with Dion
