I can easily imagine a few of ours losing the plot if it’s not going well and a red card and ban would be disastrous, not just for this game but potentially the season. Score early and maintain the pace and it should reduce the chances of a sending off - which I’m genuinely concerned might happen. Score early is what seems to determine our performances of late Reading, Crawley, Northampton all good Not Shrewsbury Burton, could and should've gone ahead early doors when playing well but it didn't happen and it affected them We need to score when we're on top good and early Quote

Changes the whole dynamic of the game. Quote

Members burnden Posted October 26 Members Posted October 26 Today is our last home Saturday 3 pm game until after new year . Quote
deeane Koontz Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Fuck knows how this is gonna turn out or the starting line up. 3 points between 14 and 5! Like mentioned Start like a house on fire and things normally work themselves out. Quote
Burndens Bogs Posted October 26 Posted October 26 I fear the worst today, without Dempsey & Tommo our midfield looks lightweight. Quote
Dimron Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Can't call this one... Peterborough sometimes score for fun or leak like e sieve... bit like us but I doubt it'll be a draw. 2-1 Bolton with a nervy finish Quote

If we won today I’d be happy enough to not consider it in the flat track camp to be fair. Posh are never an easy team to beat and with our injuries I’d see a win as being an impressive result. Saying that, in our run of 5, starting with Brum, I had this down as a win with 1 or 2 draws in the next 3 - giving a shit total of 4/5 points from 5 games. If we don’t win today then we’re in real trouble for this run of tougher games. Assuming Toal is back fit I’m hoping we’ll go with Cogley Toal Santos Johnston Schon Sheehan Matete Lolos Charles Collins Quote

You can't lose a midfielder by playing 5 at the back then also lose one by playing 3 up front. It's a total imbalance Quote
dazl1212 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 (edited) Am I confused in thinking, that teams who play a possession based game, usually play with a lot of midfielders? Edited October 26 by dazl1212 Quote

Bertie Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Imagine having 4 reasonably decent strikers, combined value ~£3M and not knowing either which your best two are, or how to get the best out of any combination in an overall match day team/formation. Dread to think what the players feel inside about this each week. No wonder we have no rhythm. Watch us win 5-0 today 😂. Quote

deeane Koontz Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Got away playing that 2 man midfield noncery against rock bottom Burton which has no doubt encouraged him. Peterborough are a different kettle of fish. Let's hope it works ..🤣 Quote
masi 51 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Can someone explain to me because i am lost why either Charles who gets 20 goals a season and Williams who scored and got a assist last home game dont start???? Quote
