Wanderlust Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Felt slightly relieved when that went in - even with a two goal lead it’s nerve wracking Quote

Don't think it will remain the tactic going forward. Quote

Naytch Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Nice to see 3 of the strikers bagging tonight! GWAN LADS! Quote
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 29 Site Supporter Posted October 29 3611 on tonight. Glad for those that went all that way. Question: are the lads finding it a bit easier to play away? Two defeats on the road, both to good teams. Obviously, that's a ceiling we have to break, but results and goalscoring does seem better away. Quote
Members Lt. Aldo Raine Posted October 29 Members Posted October 29 The statistics might suggest otherwise but I never thought from first minute to last that we were in danger of not winning A comfortable night's work Quote
CambridgeBWFC Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Get in, big result. Some good play, strikers scoring and some good defensive work when under pressure. Shame we gifted a goal to them and didn't keep the clean sheet. Ref wank as usual, with all our injuries we could have some difficulties with suspensions in the coming weeks. Forester settled in OK, made some good blocks in 2nd half, but Toal cpuld be a big miss and out for a while Quote
woolli Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Great three points, they were poor, and to think a few on here would have been happy with a point! Quote
ph31 Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Good win. It's shitty hoofball teams and awful refs like tonight that make league 1 unbearable. Fair play to Stevenage fans paying to watch that shite on a regular basis. Quote

Eddie Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Brilliant, all over the pitch. Santos immense again, midfield pairing are working really well together and we’re starting to see that our attacking riches have got plenty of goals in them. Fair play Ian, you’ve pulled a couple of really good wins out of the bag and we’ve played some great stuff. Now let’s find a way to win some of these ‘big’ games coming up and the play off final hangover might just disappear and I’ll start to believe that we can do it this year. Quote
Rizlar Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Credit to Mr Evatt and the players 2 good results in a week onwards and upwards. Quote
Duck Egg Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Great win and performance. That 3rd goal was a thing of real beauty. Quote
Wanderlust Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Earlier in the season we struggled under pressure, but apart from that goal we handled it well tonight. Work rate was the best I’ve seen this season and the tempo was good. Still a few wrinkles to iron out but it’s obvious that Evatt’s been working hard and we thoroughly deserved the win. Quote
