Had it been against someone in our division then I’d have happily put out a WanderersWays XI. As it is, I don’t want us having the negativity of being a ‘shock’ so, although I’d rest a few, we need to go out and have a go, really.

At least it can’t go to a replay.

I'll take the set pieces, my bunions are like natural adidas Predator boots I can get some mad curl on shots.

I can only do about 7 minutes though.

                         Baxter

          Cogley  Forrester  Inwood

Matheson.  Arfield. Sharples. Williams

                           Lolos

                      Charles. Vic

Think that’s the side I’d like to see. Looking like Baxter could be fit so game time for him would be good.
Charles up top with Vic. Time on the pitch for Williams, Matheson, Forrester, Lolos and Arfield would be beneficial and throwing in 2 youngsters to make the team up. It rests up 8 from last night.

I suspect however some of  Santos, Johnstone, Matete, Sheehan, Matete, McAtee and Collins will be involved.

No chance, and I'd be disappointed if it was.

It's not the pizza cup.

We can make changes for sure, and I'd be happy with that, but this is the proper cup, with another possible money spinning big club in the next round.

Rotherham confirmed off. If we somehow both manage to get beat this weekend I can see that game getting slotted into 2nd round weekend.

Needs an international break league 1 ffs, only about 3 matches end up going ahead normally.

Edit just seen same discussion in the elites only (a) thread.

I think you’re right, little chance of seeing that side, just one I’d like to see. I really don’t want to see any of those players I’ve left out get injured and be unavailable in the league.

I’m probably over-reacting as you can’t wrap them in cotton wool and they could as easily get injured in training.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the FA cup and I want us to win, I’m just a little bit obsessed with the league, especially this year, to the extent that I’m not overly bothered what happens in any of the cups.

That said, I’m still considering going Saturday 😊

League obviously takes priority, but I wouldn't want to see an unduly weakened side.

Also not fair to the travelling fans, who will be dreaming of a potential big team later.

Same for Walsall too.

Injuries are clearly an issue; I'm convinced something isn't quite right in the training as it's a common theme over the seasons, but that's another discussion, and come the weekend I want to see our run carry on.

Exactly my feelings... we are a promotion seeking team and cup competitions should generally be seen as a distraction.

BUT... this is "The Cup"

Full on please

Not on Sky Sports or Wanderersways TV , so only chance is a foreign site like DAZN etc but it needs someone more tech savvy than me to find it.

Think Gonzo managed to find links from Russia  last season .

Matete is decent, but he will never ever be a JJ
