gonzo Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Oh the joys. They are absolutely shite. Like seriously shite. 0-2 Blackpool. Bet they don't sell out. Quote
Duck Egg Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Our home record against this lot, is almost as good as their home record against us! 1-0 win. No danger. Quote
1969 Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Is this classed as a big game seeing that they are not top 6 but it's a derby.Im confused 🤔 Quote

barrycowdrill Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Players will come out with a ‘point to prove’ start like a train first 10-15 minutes won’t make the breakthrough - much like Wrexham. Will slowly start to run out of ideas and will turn in to an edgy, scrappy game which we might nick but will do very little for anyone’s confidence Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Local club, we know what’s coming. It’s become the norm. Quote
Rizlar Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Massive game this for Evatt and the players not confident at all we must score first. Bruce will know our weakness and exploit them let’s see if Evatt and the players have the stomach for it ? Quote

Plus he can’t rise to the occasion repeatedly in massive games. Fwiw I think we’ll beat Blackpool as they have a similar hoodoo to us as we do there. 1-0 and will go like @barrycowdrill describes Quote

Take Evatt out of the equation, I’m looking forward to it. A while since a Saturday home game, seeing the crew again, making a good day of it as always, against a local rival. I am interested in the reaction, despite the Groundhog Day effect of being here again and feeling if it’s not this game, there’s another one around the corner where “we’ll get found out again” As for the game and the run of games that are ahead, next Saturday only a win will do. I can very much see it playing out like you and @barrycowdrill predict. To be honest even a scintillating 4/5 nil drubbing (which would be great on the day) wouldn’t convince me we’ve “turned a corner”. The only very unlikely scenario now that would get me believing again in Evatt with this squad is a great run before Christmas that also includes a win against Wigan. Thats what I’ll be hoping for and putting my support behind, but certainly not expecting. Quote

masi 51 Posted November 17 Posted November 17 These are poor. If Thomason is back i see us winning by at least two. Thomason not back and he will again play the ludicrous two in midfield and we will lose Quote
paulhanley Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I obviously hope we hammer this shower of shit but it's hard to have any confidence after the cowardly and dismal non-performance at Stockport. Worth keeping an eye on the weather forecast: Strong winds, snow and rain all seem to be in the mix although obviously very early days for precise forecasts. Quote

Not saying we wouldn't want him back but he's been a part of our poor displays and missed some of our best one's. Quote

Farnywhite Posted November 17 Posted November 17 There poor form will count for nothing Stockport had just been beaten 5 nil it would be ironic if it’s this lot that get evatt the sack Quote
