  • That was pathetic, abject, depressing, slow, inept, cowardly, and utterly humiliating. I'm one of the so-called "happy clappers", but it's clearly time for a refresh.

When a manager is under pressure and debate is raging about him there’s always A defining moment when everyone agrees it’s time to put an end to it. Today was that moment.   anything that comes

  • They simply have to pull the trigger now. A new manager coming in at this point has plenty of time and a decent amount of points on the board to build a promotion charge. We should be right

They're a poor side this year but nobody's hammered them.  Seemingly dont create much but fairly strong defensively.  We should win but the idea of a big win is fanciful imo.

As a few have said I want to see Southwold start.   He looks more confident with the ball at his feet and uses it a lot better than baxter.   Shot stopping, the lad has shown he's upto the job.

Oh and lolos and Desmond to start.

Schon and johnstone to come back in.

Sorted,  piece of piss .

Be amazed if Desmond starts.  Can see him being an ‘impact sub’.

Dion with Collins or McAtee up front

With Lolos or McAtee in the ‘number 10’ role.

Yes.

Everything about what both Evatt and Tutu himself are saying point towards continuing sub (short) appearances for the time being, while he gets back to full fitness and caution is taken over his full inclusion

However, this won’t stop the outcry of nonsense hysteria when Cogley starts instead of him.

To be fair mate, it's the only time he smiles... 😁

Be the last time we'll get to play them at Home in a league game for perhaps forever after they slip back off to none league. Time to help them on their journey:

5-0 (Charles, Charles, Santos, Schon, McAtee - in that order)

5-0 = 66/1

5-0 Charles 1st goal = 220/1

Charles 1st goal = 9/2

Charles anytime goal = 13/8

Santos anytime goal = 14/1

Schon anytime goal = 13/2

McAtee anytime goal = 5/2

McAtee last goal = 13/2

Charles 2 goals= 10/1

Over 4.5 goals = 6/1

God I hope we beat these fucking wankers

...and then constant moans and groans every time Cogley takes a touch too many or about turns when he runs past the halfway line :)

As much as losing Sheehan is a blow. I think it may help us as Wigan would have targeted him and played a high press.

Would be tempted to play Southwood from the start and be a bit more direct, quicker from the back.

Think we have too much for these but will also concede a couple so going 4-2 in a crazy game

It might finish 5-4 but all the evidence points to them keeping it tight.  They've conceded 2 a few times this season but yet to concede 3.

Agreed.  Its not even worth the debate, JDC starts.

Same with Baxter, like he's suddenly not the no.1.  And all this talk of Lolos starting, never happening.

IMO!

Course he is, no doubt

But :)

we do need a way out from the back as an alternative to Sheehan

It was clear last night that Southwood was trusted to be the one to by pass the defence into the midfield

Can Baxter do that, I dunno

so, itd not be earth shattering if Southwood started

It would, imo, be the beginning of the end for Baxter and 100k would get him in Jan...

well not really, but I think he would be looking for a way out

I could watch football for a hundred years and never derive this much insight from a game. I'm lucky if I can even remember who we were playing by about 2 hours after the game 😂

He’s not staying. I wouldn’t be surprised if he heads abroad similar to how dapo has

It's pretty clear from when Baxter plays & doesn't that he is absolutely and utterly wedded to the pass along the back regime. It's Evatt's way and he performs his duty.

Southwold does it differently. Moves it forward more quickly. If he does that in defiance of instructions we know that Evatt doesn't take kindly to that ... & in a sense nor should he. It's just a shame that's his way.

Who knows if, with another manager & different instructions he'd be equally good at following those. Baxter is certainly a good keeper. But he needs to sign a new contract or we must focus on Southwood, also a good keeper.

So Baxter follows Evatt's instructions, but Southwood ignores them? Or are you saying Southwood is given different instructions?

I explain that precisely if you read it again.

I think Baxter does, I think Southwood doesn't as closely.

I say that (despite me not liking it) Evatt has the right to expect that.

Read it again.

I don’t think Baxter is better than southwood personally. They both follow his instructions of being a sweeper keeper southwood is just better on the ball in my opinion

I agree on Baxter and JDC.

Also if we had 3 ‘proper’ midfielders fit I would agree on Lolos, but he could be better suited to the extra midfield role than McAtee.

Pretty sure Lolos won’t start but it is not that surprising if we does.

Nice bit of competition for places it seems.

Warbies out.
